This barrier island between Apalachicola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico is a true gem. Only $6 per car to enter, we drove to the very end which is the "Sugar Hill Beach Area". St George Island State Park has the most fantastic camping anyone could ask for
Describe your camping trip:
Secluded with nice sites and bathhouses.
Pros: The location. It was on far end of the island with plenty of beach area. In October when I was there, I had the beaches all to myself.
Cons: Bad skeeters. take plenty of spray....
