This is a below average motel. Rooms were large and cleanish. Sheets and towels are old and stained. Interior a little outdated. The coffeemaker in the room didn't work but was immediatly replaced by another one. Complementary breakfast isn't worth mentioning: just cereals and English muffins. The beach is only a 5 minute walk. Nothing else within walking distance.

My bro and I recently stayed at the St. Augustine Island Inn to tour this awesome town. The location was perfect. Very close to the beach, min. golf, shopping, and eateries. I was greeted by Steve who informed me that the suite was still being prepared... I did arrive a couple hours early... I was ahead of time... So headed to St. Augustine to enjoy the sites... I have stayed at this Inn a few times over the past couple years. Nice place, good location, ample parking. While it is an older inn, the rooms are clean and pool is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The place was clean and the people were helpful and courteous. Somehow I thought we would have CLOSE beach access. It was about 2 blocks to the walkway to the beach and then at least a 10 minute walk. Way too far with little ones!

We had arrived early in the week for a last minute family vacation. We had stayed at a couple hotels prior to finding this one. Friendly manager! A "no frills" type hotel, but who needs frills? My priorities are safety, cleanliness and a quiet night's sleep and this fit the bill! Note that beach access is thru the adjacent state park.

We arrived on Monday and left Friday, we had a great experience overall. Clean, comfortable, quiet and close to the beach. We will go back when the opportunity is available. The staff was helpful and friendly.
