We stayed for 2 weeks. The location was good as we could walk to universal not too far but could be hot depending what time of day you went. There was also a good selection of restaurants nearby. Excellent location if visiting Universal Studies, $5 taxi ride, well maintained hotel, great pool,very comfy rooms, especially bedding! Only complaint, drink prices in the bar crazy, but TGIF's just across the road. Staff excellent.

This was my daughter and her husband honeymoon they took us mum and dad with them mainly as taxi lol. we had a great stay here rooms were lovely and clean and bar staff very freindly and reception helpfull,would reccomend hotel.THANKYOU.

We were there recently for a weekend convention-type event. When making the reservation, I requested an upper floor. We wanted to get out of Boston and get some sun to work on that tan (May 4-6, 2012). Chose the Doubletree for it's convenient location (~10-15 min walk) to Universal's City Walk. The AAA price of $118/night was also reasonable.
