We chose this location based on a couple of things but mainly because of the trip advisor recommendations. We arrived after 8 PM and were greeted in a friendly and courteous manner. We stayed in the Wellborn building which is as described by others; an Art Deco building built in the forties. We had two rooms and they both were... More

Surrounded by palms and lush vegetation the courtyard at lake lucerne is a spot you have to look for. We almost hesitated to write this review because we don't want it to be known to the crowds. Although it is situated virtually under the highway, there is remarkably little noise. We felt like being on a small island in the... More

My wife , child and I spent 6 nights and it was truly at home feeling . Imagine living amidst greenery and the ambiance of the by gone era Just on the periphery of downtown and a lake front to boot , it is an awesome location ! If one drives their own car or rented , Disney , sea... More

Found the place while searching for a one night stay in Orlando before meeting my golf group at the Reunion Resorts (another review to follow). This place is quite a hidden gem. It is true that it sits next to a highway ramp but it wasn't noticeable in the suite I stayed in. I occupied one of the Wellborn Suites,... More

Let me just say this, more than likely you will love this place. This review is just based on my opinion because I got slightly mad while staying here.We checked in and loved it.Room was huge, the t.v. on a CART was slightly odd though. And yes,you read that correctly, our t.v. was on a microwave cart.We rolled it in the bedroom when we wanted... Who would expect a bed and breakfast in downtown Orlando? This hidden gem is right off the interstate and what a great alternative to your chain hotels. There are four buildings, three Victorian houses and an Art Deco building. I stayed in the art deco and had a one bedroon apartment (as in apartment building apartment, not a hotel apartment)... My sister and I stayed here for just one night and were pleased. There are four buildings on the property, all situated around a lovely courtyard. We were in the 1915 house, and it was nice for what it was - an old house. The room was comfortable; the bathroom was much better than the usual B&B bathrooms, which are... More

My husband and I spent just one night at The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. It was a very pleasant experience. It is definitely "old Florida"...and a delightful change from the usual hotel/motel offerings for travelers. We especially enjoyed the "continental breakfast"! Our hosts were cordial, helpful and reminded us of the innkeepers in New England bed and breakfasts! We would... More

We would like to warn people who are sensitive to noise that this may be one of the worst places on the planet to stay. The main east/west expressway through downtown Orlando runs directly behind this house and a major exit ramp runs directly in front of it, virtually next to the upstairs windows! It's like being on an island... More

My friends had a wedding at this location so of course I booked a night there, while the wedding was beautiful, the rooms were not the cleanest i've ever stayed in. Also there were cats allowed to roam freely in the house, my mother is allergic to cats and we saw no warning of this prior to the stay. If... More
