Spent July 4th weekend at the National. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and very quiet for an old building. Bathroom was a little cramped, but pretty characteristic of most of the South Beach hotels. I spent TWO DAYS straight sitting on a futon in the shade by the fabulous pool. It was heaven! I'd definitely go back!
