I stayed there for a week. There were few things I didn't like there, the room service wasn't great. The beds weren't made properly, they didn't have any blankets, and every time i asked for a blanket, they gave me a bedsheet instead, plus the room wasn't cleaned properly as well as the bathroom, The bathroom floor most of the time was wet. I kept reminding the cleaning people to leave a towel in front of the shower door to prevent the floor to be wet and 80% of the time they didn't. Also, the room was humid and smell mold. I couldn't breath well, I kept coughing and sneezing. And my roommates felt the same . Although, everything else in the room was great , the mattress was comfortable. Nonetheless, Alexandra, the front desk manager, the waiters : Jean Ernest , Mckenzie, the restaurant & Bar manager Steve were very professionals, kind, respectful, helpful and cordial to me. They do excellent jobs there. These people are great assets to Freehand. The foods are delicious and I enjoyed the drinks as well. Although, as soon as I arrived there and I checked in, Alexandra, the manager was kind enough to help me carry my luggages upstairs to my room. And as soon, as I arrived to the room I wasn't welcomed. There was an old Spain woman who was also a guest there , she was very rude and mean to me the minute that she saw me in the room. She started to give ne order, harass me for no reason at all. She discriminated against me. She felt like as the only woman of color, I didn't belong there. Therefore, I kept my compulsure the whole time and immediately I left the room. As soon as I closed the door , she opened the door and slammed the door. So, I didn't want the situation to get worse. I went back to the office to complain to her about the Spain woman nasty behavior towards me. Although, not only Alexandra apologize to me about what happened, but she escorted me back to the room and i told her i didn't feel safe and comfortable to remain in the same room with the old Spain woman who discriminated against me. Not only she talked to the guest , but she didn't take long to resolve this matter by finding me another room as soon as possible. And again, she kept checking on me all the time every time she saw me to make sure I was ok and comfortable. She made me feel at home , and I watched how hard working, patient and kind she was to others as well. I have,to say that, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be able to spend a peaceful and relaxing time at Freehand as well as Jean Ernest, Mckenzie and Steve …
