Had to post after reading some of these reviews. I have been staying at the Seafarer for a few years on and off. Was there almost every summer weekend in 2011. We stayed at the Seafarer Resort at the end of February 2012 (25th to 29th) in Cottage 5 which is a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen, close to the beach and even has a small deck for alfresco dining. Is a great place to go to relax. I went for two days and I end up for 4 days so that means that the place is nice and beautiful. Has a ramp for boats. A place to fish etc....... is very nice I love it :) Osmara More

What a shame. This property is beautiful.It has such potential. It has beautiful big trees shading the property and wonderful lush tropical foliage, a pretty beach area with all kinds of sea life and beach chairs, a hammock, and swings that I fell asleep in. It has a dock in which you can sit and see the sunsets each day.... More

I'm very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. This morning's research of room rates in the upper Keys revealed two other properties with rates similar to (slightly higher than) the Seafarer's: one was 10 miles north of town and the other is nowhere near the water.
