My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights after seeing their deal on Groupon. The value of the stay with the Groupon was absolutely fantastic (it was cheaper than a lot of the other places we stayed on our roadtrip but on a whole different tier of quality). Even without the Groupon, though, I think the rooms are very... More

I don't really want to let others know how great this place is because I dont want to be booked out in the future. I have been staying in Gainesville for many years on weekends. I never knew that Sweetwater even existed. My husband and I loved the place. Great location, great service, clean pretty and comfy rooms. Loved our... More

My wife and I had to visit Gainesville for business. Rather than stay at a moldy, dingy $75 a night hotel, we decided to make our stay memorable by staying at a B&B. Sure, it's a little more, but the breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and I'll remember it always. The grounds are spectacular and the rooms are charming. More

I came here with my fiance for a last minute New Year's getaway after purchasing their Groupon. It was much more than I had anticipated. I'm a sucker for vintage Christmas decorations and fireplaces so Sweetwater did not disappoint. The breakfast (especially the French toast) was to die for. They even offered little morsels of heaven (brownies) at the reception... More

As our anniversary was approaching, I decided to surprise my husband with an evening at the Sweetwater Branch inn. I choose the "Honeymoon Cottage" as it seemed the most romantic of all the rooms, it did not disappoint! The cottage was very private in its own garden setting only steeps away from the main house. The main feature of the... More

This beautifully restored Victorian made us feel right at home, since we are from Maine. The location made it easy for us to walk into town for lunch, dinner, coffee or a glass of wine. Every detail enhanced the comfort of staying there. The decor, the cleanliness, the incredible breakfast prepared lovingly ever morning, a warm and friendly staff. The... More

My husband and I recently got married at Sweetwater. We decided to stay at the honeymoon cottage the day before and the evening of. Everything was top notch. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious (I really appreciated the wide variety of choices). There was plenty of seating indoors and out on the covered porch. We spent a good... More

This was highly recommended by a friend who is a world wide traveler. I can see why. It was the most wonderful experience. The place was spotless , staff was top notch and the food was remarkable. I have to say the French Toast Caserole is the best thing I have ever eaten. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to return.... More
