We stayed in a co-ed dorm room for two nights, then later stayed in our tent outside. It's friendly, well run, has a great kitchen, coin washer and dryer and two computers to get online. Great common areas on the extensive grounds where you can read a book or meet other travelers with ease. A woman we met there brought... More

This review is based on staying in the Nemby Small room, not in the dorms. We spent one night in the dorm and were constantly jarred awake by doors slamming shut. The Nemby Small was above and beynd my expectations and beyond every private room I've ever stayed at in a hostel. It was secluded and quiet. The rooms were... More

The natural and scenic beauty are what this trip is about. Our surrounding on the hike into the swamp was an adventure but once you got past the 20 degrees water & mud on your feet you appreciated what you were there for. The adventure is filled with beautiful cypress trees surrounding you with orchids, bromeliads and natural fauna at... More

I stayed at this hostel because it had amazing reviews. It's not a bad hostel indeed, but I think it is overrated, I have stayed in at least 10 hostels that are way better than this one. Rooms are just ok, and there are no lockers. On the other hand, location is very good for the Everglades. They even rent... More

One fantastically wonderful trip to the everglades starts at the hostel, and it never ends in your heart, anyone whom would miss such a trip and experience will never know that such a place brings why we live to the foreground of our life. The rooms are made up of various schemes. The yards and waterfalls are Heavens to the... More

we stopped in on new years even after visiting the everglades. Eric welcomed us and offered different types of accomodations. We chose to sleep in a tent in the back yard. The back yard is so amazing! you have to see if for yourself, the kitchen is always opened for you to use, great wireless signal, great people, unlimited pancakes... More

We stayed in the Large Nenby which was supposed to sleep four but only sleeps three, so our son was left with struggling to sleep on a filthy camp bed with bedding we cobbled together. Saying that it was an oasis in the horror that is Florida City and everyone there was very friendly and laid back. More

We took a redeye from SFO to Ft Lauderdale, and drove down to the Everglades for the day. The remainder of our vacation would be spent with extended family in Key West for a week, so we wanted a little "us time." We had easily reserved a private room online a few weeks earlier. Arriving after dark after a full... More
