We always stay at the Hampton Inn near the beach on Amelia Island. It is a short walk to the beach or Sliders bar/restaurant and is a beautiful property. This location has mini fridge that I do not see listed for the downtown location bue I wish there were in-room movies.

While on vacation in north FL, we had planned a 2 night stay @ this location. The evening before check-in, we were notified of a family emergency in the south/central part of the state & possible need of our assistance. The rooms here are extremely small, but clean. The beds were comfortable, they were VERY pet friendly, decent breakfast. The staff was very nice- overall it was a weird mix between motel and hotel, but not in a bad way. I don't like that 3 means average, because it was GOOD- just not "very good" because of the room size.... More

As a senior kayaker I like staying at a convenient hotel that offers a quick breakfast, clean room & easy internet access. This Hampton Inn lived up to those expectations. The front staff was very welcoming and answered all my questions.

I booked a King suite for me and my two kids for a two night stay on Amelia Island. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave plus 2 TVs. The room was comfortable and clean. Hampton Inns always offer a nice breakfast and great beds. This one was no exception to that rule! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We found that there are great restaurants and many places of interest, plus fishing and river cruises, in the Fernandina Beach area. You really need several days to do everything.

From the minute you enter the building, you just feel a sense of warmth and calm. The front desk staff are so wonderful and accommodating. The location is stupendous.
