This isn't luxury accommodation, but if you want a really warm welcome in a lovely little pub with great food and ales we'd recommend this highly. Our room was pretty small but otherwise fine. Had a 2 night stay here on a kgb voucher. Lovely view from the bedroom window, bedroom a little tired but clean. Best thing about the pub wasthe great food and sitting next to the cosy fire. Good service and hospitality.

I am first to admit that the price was very good but our room was extremely small and the bed very uncomfortable, and there was a strange smell on the stairs and in our loo ( which only had one working light). Very nice cosy country pub (although on a main road) with good offering of home made style food. Very good real ale as well, all in all a very pleasant place to relax in. Outside seating area to the rear with a view of the Pike.

Booked this getaway for our wedding anniversary. Arrived to a very warm welcome by Stella and Tom. We visited the Lantern Pike while on holiday in Derbyshire this week. The food is simple but tasty and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. An additional bonus was that a group of locals had gathered that evening to play some country music so we were treated to some enjoyable free entertainment !

We decided to go for lunch to check the place out prior to booking a short stay so can not comment on anything other than food and service.
