Upon our arrival I thought this place was going to be a normal Best Western that they normally run on the nicer side. Considering we were gone for four days, this place was the highest cost per night. The room looked nice upon enetering, however, after my shower and walking across the floor my feet were black. Yuck. Next was... More

We stopped here on our way south and were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable and the front desk person was helpful. The restaurant next door was good and the hotel breakfast was decent. Good value here and we'll stay again

We had made some changes in our itinerary and I made a new reservation for Wed. & Thurs. nights but neglected to cancel the Tues. and Wed. night reservation. When I remembered, I asked my husband to cancel the superfluous one but he accidentally cancelled the wrong 2 nights. Luckily, he checked Tripit on Tues. morning and discovered that we... More

The people are helpful and the rooms are large and clean. It is close to several restaurants and we arrived exhausted and hungry. We parked the car and walked anywhere we needed to go. It is Chiefland so don't expect nightlife, but there are a couple restaurants close by for dinner and a convienent store for beverages. Breakfast was okay-... More

Stayed here June of 2010. A little pricey for the area, but a clean, descent motel. Pool area was a bit noisy, so try to stay away from pool if possible. I opted to stay at Days Inn in Chiefland this year(2011) because of a better rate. Other than that, I would have no problem staying here again if necessary.

We had stayed here a few years back and progress has definately been made. Room was large, clean. Not a great value for the area - but not bad either. Breakfast is just OK, basis coffee and cereal. With only two national hotels in the area - and we have stayed in both - a few more improvements are needed.

My purpose for travel was medical in Gainesville. This was the closest available hotel for the football weekend in September, 2009. My adult son & daughter were with us so we had to have two rooms for them that were aired out (they are asthmatic). I must say the establishment was very cooperative & let them inspect the rooms until... More

Room had roaches. Iron didn't work. Hotel keys stopped working. Not much of a breakfast. Locals call this "Worst" Western". Thought they were joking . . . They weren't. Relatives in another room had the same impression. A well-run Hampton Inn would quickly wipe out the few competing hotels in this little town.

This was one of the most disappointing travel experiences of my life. The room was dingy and dirty. The carpet needed a good scrubbing. The sink and shower had several hairs. The beds smelled like a sweaty old man. One bed had been "napped" on, with no attempt to straighten the bedspread. (We checked-in, brought-in our luggage, then went out... More
