All the other reviews are accurate - beautiful sunsets, good fishing, amazing birds and a room on the water with a king-size bed and a fully equipped kitchen. For the price, it was an outrageous deal. It was a perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine at the Tiki Bar while watching the sunset.

In just 3 nights we managed to sample 2 rooms. We started with Room 1 which is honestly described on the website as small. But it was all there was so we snapped it up. It was a perfectly fine room, the downsides being a small double bed (or call it a large single if you are travelling alone) and... More

What a great place to discover for our wedding anniversary (we eloped to Cedar Key 20 years ago) AND to celebrate the 30th anniversary of my 29th birthday! Charming, colorful, immaculate, pet friendly, affordable - I could go on and on... We will be back! And thanks for the heads up about Tony's! Yum! Their clam chowder is a religious... More

My wife and I stayed at the Low-Key Hideaway for 3 nights and had a great time. The owners Pat and Cindy were very friendly. The grounds are very relaxing with plenty of comfortable chairs on the back patio and lawn overlooking the water. The Tiki Bar sits in the back yard and was very eclectic and enjoyable. Maybe I... Kayaking is so perfect here in Cedar Key that your wife may have gotten spoiled on her first trip. Thanks for the kind words and also for all the information on our reptiles around here. You now have me searching the internet for native species of lizards so I can share that info with other guests. So glad to hear... More

Cedar Key is a very low key kind of place. Great place to just walk around, have fresh fish, chill. This motel is a perfect fit for a Cedar Key getaway. Bed was just excellent. Suite was clean. Bathroom small. Tiki Bar right across the backyard with good selection of wine, beer, mixed drinks. Friendly owners. The kind of place... More

I think that people are just now starting to find our little gem of a Tiki Bar in the back yard. We can't beat the view of the sunsets and this week we have spent hours watching dolphin fish around our dock. Love to hear the comment about the bed, I have spent many of hours trying to buy the... We stayed at one of the "little apartments" ... full kitchen, wi-fi access and flat screen TV with a great channel selection. The bedroom is nicely decorated and comfortable. Oh, and the rates are reasonable. The back area faces the water with a dock and a tiki bar. We met a few very nice people and it was very, very... More

We stayed at one of the four RV sites, heaven on earth!! The views, bird watching and most of all, the amenities were unparalleled!! Pat & Cindy have used their artistic abilities to add flair & panache to the motel, RV sites & most of all, to the Hideaway Tiki Bar...you will want to come back here over & over... More

Many thanks from Pat and I, when you live in a place with so much to beauty around, it's hard not to put a picture frame around the best things to see. I'm glad you like the RV slots, we will continue to add to the ambiance for as long as we can, we really just love adding to the... More

Every rv space has a great view of the water and the nightly sunset. If you're there when the Tiki bar is open, it'll be a treat. It closes early, likely because everything in Cedar Key revolves around the tides and sunset! Ask about the boat rides and enjoy another island for the day. Pick up and drop off right... More

So glad you got to experience a little bit of our Island. The place really is a paradise! The Tiki Bar is Pat's baby and when people walk away with a smile and a different look at what recycle means, he is very pleased. Hope to see you again in Cedar Key or maybe on the road somewhere, who knows.... More

We wanted a spur of the moment get away nearby and chose Cedar Key and the Low Key Hideaway because of other reviews. We rented the smallest unit and found it clean, very affordable and perfect for our 2-day stay. It was nice to have a small kitchen as part of the unit. The Tiki Bar, sunsets and renovated rooms... So many folks worry that renting this room will take away their chance of seeing the renowned Low-Key Sunsets, your review is perfect because it lets them know that even through their room doesn't have that back patio area, they still have the option of walking around to the quaint backyard or kicking back in the Hideaway Tiki Bar to...
