When I first walked into my room it really smelled. I thought once the air conditioner came on and aired it out it would be ok. WRONG!! I was in it for 3 hours and couldn't stand it. It smelled like old cigarette and dusty smell. The front desk clerk quickly said I could move me to another room. She... More

This Inn delivers exactly what the weary travelers needs - bar none! Comfortable, clean and welcoming ambiance. Comprising of nice rooms, a nice Hot & Cold assortment at the Breakfast Bar and outstanding Customer Service. This location is near I95 within 5 minutes to Main Street; where you can find lovely shops and restaurants. Home of the University of Delaware... More

The Sleep Inn in Newark is in a great location only about a mile from the university campus which is an interesting place to walk around. The staff was friendly and even put cookies out for the guests. The rooms were clean with ample space. We were very satisfied and would not hesitate to stay here again More

I am not sure about the other reviews but this hotel covered all my needs and then some. I checked in late at about 1am for a 3 day stay and the desk clerk "Misha" was alert and well mannered and very polite. She offered to sit with the kids while I unloaded our luggage out of the car. My... More

We booked this hotel for a UDel Decision Day and because of it's location, we thought it would be a good choice. HOWEVER...after checking in nearly midnight (due to our drive) we were very tired and just wanted to get some sleep before a very busy day ahead. After checking in, we were headed to our room and the hallway... More

I certainly apologize for any inconvenience you incurred during your visit. Unfortunately, at this time I would be more than happy to forward you the copy of the inspection report from our exterminator that inspected your room the morning after the incident as to there not being any "bed bugs" in the room. I'm only staying here for a night, and I'm glad its not for longer. The place needs a lot better cleaning. It's two weeks into daylight savings and the alarm clock has not been changed. After seeing the layer of dust on it, I did not dare to do so either. Corridors and my room smell dusty, although they try... More

I stayed there last night. When I arrived at the hotel just after midnight, there were three inebriated people in the lobby having a loud bizarre conversation. There was noone at the front desk. I went and rang the night buzzer to no avail. The door behind the front desk was open so I yelled a couple of times to... More

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. First and foremost the place was dirty. There was black mold in the shower, the non-smoking room smelled terrible, they advertise the room as having queen beds but the bed was a full size bed, and the lady at the front desk did NOT know what she was doing.... Have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 3 years. It has gone down hill drastically in the last year. This time (AND MY LAST TIME !!) the place was FILTHY !! There was trash in the corridors, Black mold in the shower, and the room walls had holes & marked. More

Stayed here the week after Christmas for 1 night. The AAA rate was great..around $60. My weekday afternoon check in clerk was pleasant. The hotel is typical of many built in the late 1990s. Showing a little age, but still better and more modern than many other hotels I stay at. I stayed in a first floor nonsmoking room and... More
