My wife and I just stayed for this spectacular 7 course dinner that is held twice per year at the Inn. The food, wine, and Atmosphere were top notch. Victoria is the ultimate hostess and creates the most delicious breakfast. I strongly recommend that people attend the next dinner as it is a great experience.

My wife and I are just completing our second stay at Victoria Kolyvas' Tidewater Inn in Madison CT and are, if anything, even more impressed than we were the first time around. Located in a charming private home, minutes away from several beaches along the Long Island Sound. the Inn is extremely well maintained and contains numerous places, both in... More

Victoria was a great hostess. She is very knowledgeable about the area and was able to make appropriate recommendations for my husband and I. She served a creative breakfast in a friendly environment. I also enjoyed the gifts that came with our package.

We stayed at the inn for our anniversary. Our overall impression was positive, but there were things that merited note. Positives: - Rooms were neat, and great amenities provided: board games for guests to play, abundant and nice toiletries for guests in the bathrooms, great guides to local businesses, restaurants, bike rentals, hiking trails, and attractions, and overall great "homey"... We stayed at Tidewater Inn for 1 night on our way from Newark Airport to Boston. Basically we just pointed out on a map a small town by the sea in between New York and Boston and it happened to be Madison, CT, when we googled it we found Tidewater Inn and booked it. A little pricey for a B&B... More

We just came back from a great weekend at the Tidewater Inn in Madison, CT. We had the Bushnell room, and the overall impression was very good, even though the place could use a little TLC, especially in the bathroom. What made the entire stay exceptional was Victoria's qualities as an innkeeper. From the warm welcome, to the late afternoon... More

My husband and I chose the Tidewater Inn to celebrate our anniversary based on the excellent reviews on this sight and our experience exceeded our expectations. Victoria greeted us warmly, although she had lost electricity, she upgraded us to the cottage, since it had power. The cottage was absoutely lovely. Nicely decorated and clean. Large jacuzzi tub was a plus.... More

I'm the planner in our family and my husband jokes that he'll mention that talent in my obituary. After our stay at the Tidewater Inn, he said it would be featured as one of my best choices. Our room - the Meigs - was small but made such good use of space. We had lots of drawer space which is... More

I spent a few days at Tidewater Inn recently and really enjoyed the experience. I met a lot of nice people from various states also staying there, most of them repeat customers. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean and decorated beautifully. I would recommend the Tidewater Inn to anyone wanting a quiet, charming and relaxing place to... More
