My husband and I stayed in a cabin for a winter weekend escape from NYC and it was just what the doctor ordered. Everything about the cabin renovation was excellent and designed to provide a comfortable, relaxing, pampered feel. It was nice to have a kitchen for being lazy in the morning and fixing our own breakfast and coffee. Getting... More

We stayed in Marty's cottage as a half way break on our trek along the Connecticut Appalachian Trail section. The comforts of the cottage by very far exceed a tent and make it easier to escape the mosquitoes. As we could afford it, it was much better than the nearby Hitching Post. Our choice was right, we sheltered from rain,... More

This stop was mid-way on our trip from Boston to NYC. We had a two-room cabin with a screened porch. It was very clean and enjoyable. Ideally located across the street from a park and the Housatonic River. The owner has a fly fishing shop and guide service which added to the enjoyment. An all-inclusive, guided fishing trip was included... More

We just visited Breadloaf Mountain Lodge for a girls weekend to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. We stayed in the Oak/Acorn cottage which accomodated all of us. We couldn't get over the Pottery Barn style decorating and loved hearing how they were built by the owner with reclaimed wood, etc. The heated floors in the bathrooms were such a treat... More

We stayed 2 nights in one of the cottages, and it was a good experience. The cottage could use more windows / daylight, apart from that everything was fine. The cottage itself and the surrounding area were in very nice condition, and just across the road you find the Housatonic River and great places for picnic or a walk. The... More

Members from our chapter of Trout Unlimited have been coming to Breadloaf Mountain Lodge & Cottages for several years. The natural setting in the Cornwall Bridge area is particularly beautiful. We enjoy the lodge because it can accommodate our group comfortably. It offers a full kitchen with dishes and cooking facilities, a large dining area where we can share meals,... More

I stayed at Pine Cottage at the Breadloaf Mountain Lodge for 2 days (Friday-Sunday). I arrived a little later than the time I stated, so I wasn't greeted like other reviewers, BUT, Marty had told me in advance that the place was ready whenever I arrived. So, I arrived to soft music playing, settled in and then Marty called to... More

I stayed with five friends as a bachelor party. We were up front about our goals - drinking and fishing - and Marty was happy to accomodate, giving us a cottage on the end of the row so that we didn't need to worry as much about disturbing others. There were initially going to be four of us, and he... More

I found the Breadloaf Mountain lodge in a online search and couldn't have been happier I found it! My wife and I booked a 2 night stay (Fri to Sun) in the Birch cottage. Everything listed on the site and including the pics are very accurate. The cottage that we stayed in was great. We especially liked the wood floors,... More

Cottage was tasteful and compact. Modern amenities in rustic setting. Location ideal for car race in Limerock, also for visitng nearby towns to dine, shop & enjoy outdoors. Staff Marty was very helpful, especially showing how to operate everything in cottage & making dinner reservations/sightseeing recommendations. More
