It all started with a phone call to Constance, who answered the phone and our questions with complete and honest responses. First of all, we understood that Twin Lakes is a REMOTE location, and that is why we went there. The things that we were looking for were hiking, fishing, biking, and spectacular vistas. We found all of that and... More

Nice place but it is right on the highway !! Not really what I expected We left early to go to a nearby town with more to do. Planned on doing stuff on the lake but canoe place was closed. I notice all negative comments. Get an excuse from the owner I'm sure this one will be no different :)

We stayed in the cabin for six nights and were reluctant to leave. The cottage is charming and the view from the deck is truly beautiful. There is nothing like coming in from a day of sightseeing and exploring to settle in on that deck (yes, wrapped in a blanket a couple of nights!) and watch the sunset over the... More

We were pleasantly surprised! Not only did the "hikers room" exceed our expectations but the personal attention given to us by Steve was remarkable! If it's shopping your looking for you've come to the wrong place. If it's nature at it's finest your seeking than you've hit it right on the mark. The lodge was truly "home away from home".... More

My partner and I recently stayed at the Roadhouse Lodge for the second time and were bitterly disappointed. The first time was 3 years ago and everything was lovely - we were excited about our return. Despite having reservations well in advance, this time we arrived to a very cold room (radiant heat that we turned on didn't warm up... More

A friend and I stayed there for a week and it was the perfect place to stay. Cozy, clean and extremely well kept and maintained. Delicious home made pastries by Constance and Steve in the morning, along with other breakfast basics. Beautiful view of Twin Lakes, short drive to Aspen, Leadville and Buena Vista.

This B&B had a lovely wrap around porch which was nice to sit out on. Our room (#4) was very clean, well-appointed, but small!! The "misleading" comment refers to e-mail correspondence with them. I was told "we have a beautiful private entrance ,bath room with greta views..." and "Ive reserved our historic room..." 1. If he meant private entrance to... More

This guest changed her reservation arrival date at the last minute and we were not able to give her the room she had originally reserved. This was 4th of July week-end and we worked hard to accomodate her which was in our cozy Historic room which is smaller than her originally reserved room but preferred by guests who are early... WeA friend and I had booked a room in the lodge. When we got there Steve upgraded us to the cabin. It was awesome, with i bed and a futon, kitchen, bathroom. Great view of the lake, mountains. Very quiet. Breakfast was great and the roadhouse cinnamon rolls were great. I cant say enough good things about our stay.

Five star comfort in the one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our room had a lake and mountain view. Steve, the owner gave us a tour. We were impressed by the hand crafted tiled bathrooms in each of the uniquely designed rooms. Be sure and try the Roadhouse cinnaminon rolls:) Unbelievable!!

are kids & granddaughters were staying in a campground up the road, so this was perfect for us to stay here & visit them during the day. Constance is a great lady & makes cinnamon rolls each morning that are excellent. We stayed in her cottage about a block away. It is an old house built in the late 1800s.... More
