My husband and I just came back from 6 days in Steamboat and stayed in a 2br 2bath condo. It had a pretty good kitchen (fridge hit the cabinets) living room layout was pretty good, but it was dirty in the bathrooms, covered in long hair, on the rugs, the floors, tub was full of fuzz. The drawers fell out of the dresser, none of the TV's worked, the stove top had 1 burner out, no lights under the Microwave. The hot tubs (1 was closed until ski season opened up) had a gate code and no one at the rental agency had given us that at the time of check-in. Had to go back on the 3rd day to get it from some other agency. Also other similar condos were listed on VRBO after I booked this one and they would NOT price match which would have been a big savings. Maybe other units might be newer and cleaner. Probably not going to stay here again.…

My family of 3 stayed here for 8 nights Feb 2013. Our unit was a 2BR 2BA unit on the ground floor. We rented through VRBO. The condo was extremely comfortable. Attractive, warm, well-stocked, and lots of hot water and storage space. Heated garage a bit of a luxury for our skis. As stated, the garages are small. Although you could a put a small SUV in it, I'm not sure you could open the door! There is private parking in front of the garage, and visitor parking areas which are close. Hot tub is a bit small, but rarely used. It is a quiet complex and I got the impression most of the residents live there. For skiers who don't know: There is very little true ski-in/ski-out in at Steamboat. There are a couple places like "One Steamboat Place" which is right at the base, and a few other places which are in true walking distance. Most folks stay at a condo just a little too far to walk in boots and haul equipment. Some drive and park, which we did when our daughter was very young; some complexes have private shuttles which is nice (bring your tip money); and most are near a city bus stop. The city bus is awesome and I would recommend that you get a place near a bus stop. Depending on where you are in this complex and the season you are going will determine how close you are to the city bus route. We were in the back of the "odd #" side. This will get you to the orange route (stops every 20 minutes) with a very short walk out the door and across the yard, except when there is a lot of snow. Then you have to use the Shadow Run stop on Walton Creek Rd. This was 3/10 mile from our unit. The green and orange line stop here, so there is bus every 10 minutes. Personally, for my next ski vacation, I would stay here but look for a condo close to the entrance of the community, to be closer to the Shadow Run stop. (And no, I would not stay a Shadow Run, friends stayed there and had limited hot water, hot tub was crowded, and their walk to the bus was longer than ours!)…

We stayed at the Villas at Walton Creek in January 2010 for 4 nights. We rented a 2BR, 2BA condo. Everything was great! The furnishings were newer and the beds were comfortable. We had a garage which was great since we had to unload all of our skis, boot and poles each afternoon. We also LOVED the gas fireplace. We would line up our wet gloves, socks and boot in front of the fireplace each night to dry. The condos are located on the cities free bus line, but the walk from our condo to the bus stop was just too long. The thought of walking in my ski boots and carrying my skis and poles was not something I looked forward to. We decided to drive to the mountain each day and pay $15 to park right by the gondola. It was the best $15 we ever spent! We would definitely stay here again. We did use the condo's hot tub one night. It was kinda small and located a bit of a walk from our condo - not fun when it's only 15 degrees outside! But, after 3 days of skiing, I needed some time in the hot tub! We rented through Pioneer Ridge and they were great to deal with.…

We stayed at the Villas over Fourth of July Weekend and were impressed with the accomodations. The condo itself is nicer that what is shown on its webstie and very spacious. We had a three bedroom, three bathroom space which was more than enough room for everyone. Also, a nice sized balcony as well as an open kitchen/living room with made for a good "hang out" space. The location of the condo complex is a bit far from downtown steamboat and a cab ride averaged out +/- $21. However, it was closer to the Haymaker golf course which was one of the main activities for the trip.

We (myself and 2 teen boys) stayed at the Villas at Walton Creek (unit 1421) during the last week in February. We found Mountain Resorts to be very easy to work with. When I was looking at booking on line, nothing was available, but I was able to book via phone. I paid $1250 for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit. Check in and check out was a breeze at the Mountain Resorts building about 5 minutes away from our condo. Steamboat is very easy to find your way around. Although it says that the condo is within 600 yards of the gondola, it must be measured by how a bird flies, definitely too far to walk while carrying gear or in ski/snowboard boots. The shuttle stop on the other hand was a quick walk out to Walton Creek Road, we never had to wait for more than a few minutes. The Villas are one of the last stops before arriving at the gondola on both the green and orange lines, but they are one of the last stops returing home after a day on the slopes. It was still convenient. Our unit was clean and in good repair. Our pilot light went out one day in the fireplace and maintenance came right over to fix it. We weren't entirely sure what and how fequently we were supposed to have housekeeping. They came all but one day to change out our towels, empty trash, etc. Mid week they changed our bed linens. The condo came with a heated garage, but we rented a Jeep Liberty in Denver and the garage was too small for the SUV. It probably would have fit, but would have been a really tight squeeze getting in and out and we stored our ski/snowboard equipment in the garage. There was ample parking outside the garage. I thought the condo was a very good value for the money we spent. There was a lot of room for 2 teen boys to spread out. I would definitely recommend these condo's. We had a fabulous week! …

My family stayed in unit 1418, which is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo while we were in Steamboat in January. The unit was very clean, had everything we needed all the way down to a humidifier, which was good because we had a baby with a cold with us. We had 6 and a baby but atleast three more adults could have stayed there comfortably. They had daily towel service and provided us with all of the comforts of home. Loved the fireplace and the view. Only thing that would have been better is if you didn't have to walk through the snow to get to the hot tub. We asked for early checkin/late checkout. They were able to get us in an hour or so early and we were able to checkout late. We would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villas of Walton Creek in Steamboat Springs. (last week in Feb/05). My family and I (total of 6) rented a 3Br 3 Bath unit. The unit was large enough to comfortably accomodate all 6 of us. The kitchen had all the proper small applaiances & utencils to make any size or type of meal desired!. It was spotless and the furniture/amenities were excellent!! right down to the 1 car heated garage! and hot tubs!!! The check-in service was fast and efficient, as was the towel service. We were only yards off the main bus line and only 5 minutes away from the gondola and the main ski area. Great place!!! Great Service!!.....we will definitely return.
