We have been coming here for about 15 years. (It used to be the Holiday Inn). The rooms are adequate, everything works. The pool and hot tub are always maintained well. The breakfast is better than average. They have sausage, bisquits with gravy, eggs, yogurt, fruit, all different kinds of bread and sweet rolls, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, milk, different juices... The staff are downright rude, the rooms are dirty and the beds are uncomfortable. There are other options for the same price all over Pagosa, so certainly choose other options. The pool is cold and you should eat breakfast elsewhere even though it's free at the hotel.

Had a very good time staying at this clean hotel, the managers are very nice people, very good location close enough to Wolf Creek ski Lodge which was our destination. We stayed when it was very slow. We counted 8 cars in the parking lot, so they weren't busy. There was no excuse to not vacuum the hallways, stairways and common areas. Beds were sagging in the middle, made for uncomfortable nights of sleep. But the hotel allows dogs, so double thumbs up for allowing us to travel with our two well-behaved large dogs! Hot tub was a good temperature, enough jets and heat to soak sore muscles after a day on the slopes.

The man at the front desk was very unwelcoming and brusque at my arrival, setting quite an unpleasant, inhospitable atmosphere for my vacation.
