My husband and I decided after reading all of the great reviews, to give HCL a try. We weren't dissapointed one bit! We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and we stayed in one of the one bedroom cabins. We have a cabin in Pagosa but because someone else was staying for vacation we wanted some privacy. When I... More

Brooklyn, We can't wait to have you and your family back. This is the part of the hospitality business that we love-meeting nice people who appreciate what we are doing.Your daughter was adorable, and she was so much fun. You and your husband were so appreciative of everything, and that really made our day while you were here. Come back... More

My husband and I and our two year old son were faced with a situation of coming a day early for a job interview in the area in order to avoid travelling in a bad snow storm and needing a place to stay until meeting the interviewers for dinner the next day. The owners gladly met our needs and extended... More

When we arrived to the High Country Lodge in Pagosa Springs, CO., the owners made us feel right at home. With their free home made waffles & continental breakfast, roomy accommodations, and great location, my family had the best spring break ever. We will defiantly stay there again.

This Spring Break was one of the best ever-because we had the nicest people staying with us, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We are happy your family stayed with us and hope you will come back often. Please consider us your home away from home-the welcome mat is always out, the coffee's on, and we are... More

Family ski trip at spring break; first time to ski for teenaged children. We are regulars to Colorado in summer owning our own non-winterized cabin in Creede, but first time winter explorers. Bottom line is the visit to High Country Lodge set the tone for the entire trip. Before, during, and at checkout, these folks attended to our interests, needs,... More

Booked this based on other Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. Nice room in the lodge, with fridge and microwave. Welcoming check in area with fireplace and computer for guest use. Large breakfast room with large variety of foods for breakfast. Excellent beds. DVD collection and board games available for guest use. Only issue I had probably is meaningless... More

this place has a great little niche. Includes hot tubs, a good breakfast, very helpful staff, and clear rooms at very reasonable rates. Very close to Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek as well. Only down side is that it actually is not in pagosa springs but outside a few miles, but that's really no big deal as you're going to... More

Great amenities including hot tubs on a frigid evening, good wifi signal and the best bisquits and gravy and coffee you can imagine served on the weekends. This is an awesome, cozy lodge to stay close to town and Wolf Creek. We stayed two nights at the lodge this past weekend, and we felt very much at home. Deciding to make a last minute trip to Pagosa Springs (Wolf Creek) for skiing we were a little concerned about finding decent accommodations. Let me begin by saying, I am a hotel snob. Recently stayed at the High Country Lodge for 3 days. The drive to the ski lifts not TOO far from this resort (15 minutes each way). The beds were nice, as was the breakfast.
