For our 19th wedding anniversary, we spent the night at the Blue Skies Inn. Soon after we arrived, we met Mike who checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the property which includes ten hand-painted, uniquely designed suites. Mike proudly showed off Sally's handiwork - from the hand painted furnishings and custom tile work to the stenciling... More

Just a little over a year ago we stayed with Mike and Sally. We were so impressed that we could hardly wait to visit again so we spent 2 of our last days of this trip there. What a joy and comfort to find that everything is just as great as it was the first time. Winter has lasted longer... More

We loved our stay and it was the perfect way to spend our postponed anniversary. We stayed in the luxurious Blue Skies suite and there is no detailed that is left unattended. Mike met us as we parked, personally took us on a lovely tour of the grounds and up to our room. The check in process was short and... More

My husband, 11-year-old daughter and I went on an overnight trip to Manitou Springs during her spring break. Blue Skies Inn was amazing! The inn is a series of buildings right against a hill. We got a tour of the open rooms from Mike, one of the proprietors. The grounds are beautiful, all the rooms we saw looked amazing -... More

The Blue Skies Inn is a true delight. Tucked into a hillside in Manitou Springs the proprietors Sally and Mike have made the most of what both man and nature have to offer. Each room has a slightly different "theme" and while I'm not much on "themes" the attention to detail, creativity, and artistry that has gone into each of... More

My husband and I came back for a winter get away and once again everything was perfect! This time we stayed in the starlight room and the amazing decor and fireplace made this feel like the most romantic place in the world, the hot tub under the stars didn't hurt either :-)! We both wish we had come back sooner instead... More

Stayed in the Dot Matrix room with my wife and 5 year old daughter. Very comfortable and fun. Huge bed and shower and sweet to leave lollipops for the kid. You would think that a room with a leopard patterned wall trim might veer towards the tacky but the whole things was really creative and tasteful. The owners are very... More

At our bed and breakfast, we are very kid-friendly and enjoy it a *lot* when kidlets stay with us. It is much fun to see our suites and gardens through the eyes of a child. Our garden paths and waterfalls go up and down stairs, round and about, and provide a safe activity for parents with children. Several deer were... More

My husband and I decided on a last minute holiday get away and Blue Skies delivered once again for us. It was the off season, so we weren't able to enjoy the lush gardens of the spring and summer, but you could tell it would be lovely once in bloom. We did enjoy a family of deer right outside our... Having been innkeepers for sixteen years, we are always happy to have guests return for another stay. It makes us even happier to hear that our guests' friends will know about us, too. We do try to be sure that our guests know what to expect in our individually-decorated suites, so bed sizes and lots of photos are posted on... More

This B & B needs some tender loving care. It's a beautiful setting in a beautiful town. The owners are friendly and the breakfast brought to your room every morning is convenient, but for the price I think you could find a better value elsewhere. The room we stayed in was the Dot Matrix room which was very roomy. There... More

We apologize if we disappointed these two sisters who chose our inn for their trip to visit each other. Sometimes it is a circumstance beyond the innkeeper's control that sets the tone for a visit. We are sorry that happy honeymooners ruined the mood for the start of a sisters' weekend. We could have changed rooms for our guests right... More

Just completed a 15 day tour of your beautiful state. We lucked out with our last night at Blue Skies. We had the entire place to ourselves. Inkeeper Mike gave us a tour of the grounds and several other beautifully decorated rooms. We were in Indian Paint II and loved the western/ Indian decor. You can tell the owners really... More

Thanks for the chuckle about gifting the car rental return guys at the airport with your last two muffins. The best compliment about our muffins is seeing the extra ones taken on the road. We have a funny story on our website about a muffin that a guest named "Muffy." That lucky muffin traveled to Bali and was photographed at... More
