We stayed at the Durango Lodge for 2 nights. We found our room to be very comfortable. We had a parking space right by our door. The location cannot be beat, about 1/2 block away from the railroad. The front office staff were helpful and friendly. We were also very near tyhe main street which is full of restaurants and... More

Room was ok for 1 night. We had asked for a balcony room which we got that overlooked the parking lot, but that was ok. We stayed here based on the reviews from TripAdvisor as well as it was so close to everything downtown; it is right by the train station and the Palace Restaurant which we walked to and... More

must have fired the rude staffer as we had nothing but pleasant staff. Room is clean and comfortable and is RIGHT downtown. Parked the motorcycle for two days and walked to everything, furthest we needed to walk was maybe 7 blocks. Next door to the Durango and Silverton Railroad and just blocks from good restaurants and brewpubs. Rate was very... More

We were on a long road trip and hadn't planned on staying in Durango as we've been there a number of times before and thought we'd try a new city farther along. But in the end we couldn't resist as this is such a great historic western town. With no reservations and wanting to stay within walking distance of downtown,... More

Book early because this is not a secret. Reasonable rates, nice rooms, friendly staff, and right next to Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We've stayed here twice and will again. Check out little used book shop across the street. Crammed with books, but the owner is fun to chat with and has been there for 30 years.

Every Spring Break and a week in August, we take the family to Durango and the Durango Lodge. It is a perfect location where we get free parking and can walk to all the sites for lunch, shopping, dinner and of course the train depot. It is right next to Ralph Lauren too! The rooms are so well kept and... More

This hotel was on my GPS list so I decided to take a look at it because nearly everything else in the area that was affordable was booked. I was apprehensive upon arriving at the property because it looked old and dingy, but it was late and we had already tried several other hotels. The young man at the front... More

The hotel was nice and very reasonably priced, but the man at the check in desk was SO rude!! He obviously hates people, so why would they let him deal with guests? Other than his complete lack of professionalism or courtesy, it was ok but left us feeling dissatisfied.

The hotel was ok, but our stay was completely ruined by the EXTREMELY RUDE young man at the front desk. He was obviously bothered to have to check us in and was completely unhelpful when asked about dining possibilities. We had stayed there previously, and the front desk lady was incredibly nice and friendly........guess they don't keep the friendly ones!!... More

My family and I stayed here on a roadtrip to Flagstaff. It was centrally located and walking distance to a variety of places including move theater, shopping, etc. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was right. Would definitely stay here again when in Durango. My only complaint was parking was a bit limited.
