We came to Cripple Creek for a "hiking" weekend. Not just to gamble and we were pleasantly surprised by this property. Our room had a view of the parking garage - so not the best, but the bedding was very comfortable and the flat screen t.v. is a perfect size for the room. The hotel is right in the middle... More

We stayed here for our anniversary...last minute plans, "got the last room." It was a handycap accessible room (ha!) on the 4th floor. It looked nice, but the a/c didn't work, fan ran all night--loud. Then if you shut off the fan, the a/c unit on the roof rattled like it was coming down! When we called the front desk-at... More

we got the king sized bedroom, and found a newly remodeled bath and the room was furnished with cable TV and the bed was very comfortable. The hallways are narrow, but for the age of the buildings it adds ambiance. They also have a parking garage so if it snows or the weather is unpleasant you don't have to get... More

Great location, easy walking distance to all the Casinos. Right upstairs from J.P. McGills. Park on 4th floor of parking garage behind the casino/hotel for easy access. If you don't have a player's card, they offer the player's card rate, and just show them the player's card before you check out and you get the discount. We had a king... More

We stayed in late August with temps being very mild during the day and cool at night. Not so much for our $113 dollar room. It was very stuffy and hot. The window that opened to a wall, gave the room a very dungeonous feeling. The staff was friendly and the town is awesome. We did get the feeling of... More

Hotel was clean, the front desk staff was very polite, the location is convenient. However, our room was in the center of the building so did not have a window. Usually this isn't a problem, but the air conditioner was not functioning, so the room was about 80 degrees while it was in the 60's outside. If we could have... More

Bait & Switch – Went for a weekend getaway with family and booked on the telephone over a month in advance...the internet reservations was being updated and not working at the time…but was assured over the telephone that the rate was $99.99/night with a 10% players card discount. On arrival at the hotel this weekend we were informed that the... More

The wife and I spend one night here in July 2011. It was the first time we had been to Cripple Creek in approximately 10 years. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The meal coupon was a nice perk as well. Our room was on the interior of the building (#410), so there was no window. It... More

Several couples traveling together stayed a few nights at JP McGills. The hotel is convenient to the entire town, easy to walk from one end to the other of Bennett St. Room rate was $81+ with Player's Card and we were also given coupons for $11 off meals per day (3 specific restaurants), a very good deal. The staff was... More
