Ten friends and I were patrons of the Castle on Friday, May 31, 2013 for "High Tea". This experience was the MOST DISAPPOINTING afternoon regarding our "High Tea". The table was set beautifully upon our arrival, however the rest went miserably downhill. The scones were a bit hard and were definitely not fresh. The rest of the servings were substandard... More

I stayed in the Big Horn Lodge a couple years ago. It was nice but I regretted not staying in the castle itself. So when my job sent me to Colorado Springs for a couple days and allowed me to stay anywhere, I immediately thought of Glen Eyrie. Staying inside the castle is a very unique experience. Each room is... More

Wow. As a former local now living overseas, I visit Colorado Springs twice yearly. As such, I can't believe it took me so long to discover the peace and serenity of Glen Eyrie. Spouse and I took my mother for the tour and tea. We all thoroughly enjoyed the comprehensive tour, where we learned quite a lot about the founder... More

We stayed in the Big Horn Lodge. It was not attached to the Castle. It was a room with 2 twin beds, that was clean and adequate. The lodge itself had a big event room (lodge) and was full of kids having a small pizza party. The grounds are located in a mountain canyon and had wild turkey and other... More

I was in the "lower level". No VIEW - one window is dark, the other one is a parking level and see only car tires. No TV, No Internet - to far way from the wifi. The GYM is even worst. Do not try to use it. It is dangerous because the treadmill is on the wall bricks. It is a... More

Glen Eyrie is a retreat/conference center adjacent to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO. The centerpiece of Glen Eyrie is the Castle, once the home of General Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. If possible, try to get a room in the Castle, which is truly unique. (Their website, gleneyrie.org , allows you to view the individual Castle... More

My husband and I attended our church's Marriage Retreat at Glen Eyrie. MR are one of their promotional specialties. We had heard of Glen Eyrie for decades, but never had a chance to visit. The Navigator's, a Christian para-church ministry, owns and operates GE, with their world headquarters on the property. RIch in Colorado history (built by General Palmer who... More

Stayed here in October and it was a little cold but still beautiful. The castle is wonderful and authentic while being incredibly preserved. There is ok parking but it got quite packed at night and we had to walk a ways to the castle relative to the lot. There is lots of wildlife with turkey and deer feeding on the... More

The Christmas Madrigal Banquet at Glen Eyrie is an utterly delightful evening! It's a five course gourmet meal each year. This year the food wasn't quite as outstanding as other years because of the cook's decision to put beets in just about everything. However, it was still another tremendous experience for my wife and me. This was our 14th year... More

We love riding here for a romantic weekend once or twice a year. Wonderful old castle. We enjoy the "daughter's room" in the castle or the "Pink House". Reasonably priced, clean, friendly staff. Christian owned, we've always had nice quiet stays. Makes my wife happy and if Mama's not happy...nobody's happy!
