My husband and I have wanted to visit this inn for some time because the initial log cabin portion of the inn was built (a looong time ago) by my husband's great grandfather -- John Ripley. We found the inn to be rustic and delightfully quirky as now owned and operated by John and Jeannine Vanderhart. The Magnolia Room was... More

The Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a beautiful rustic bed and breakfast perfectly situated between the Eldora Mountain Ski area and all of the fun of downtown Boulder. The Magnolia Room we enjoyed was charming and allowed us to enjoy the in-room soaking tub and our own fireplace. The Inn itself is run by a wonderful staff who are conscientious... More

A beautiful alternative to the usual sterility of most hotels. More amenities then I could take advantage of in a single trip. The staff is friendly and accommodating with excellent suggestions for dining and sights and local events. Luxurious linens, fireplaces and oversized tubs in many of the rooms and the large dining area made our family reunion a great communal... More

very nice romantic getaway with beautiful mountain surroundings. friendly and very helpful innkeepers, gave great advice on what there is to do and see in the area. the breakfast choices were delicious, served in a very nice large rustic room with huge fireplace. would definitely return here if back in the area.

Absolutely loved the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. It is situated just a few minutes drive into Boulder Canyon, very pretty area. The atmosphere is lodge like yet elegant. Our room was gorgeous - beautiful fireplace, balcony, stained glass window, very tastefully appointed. The front desk always had a lovely supply of beverages and snacks, everything from fresh peach iced tea... More

This is the closest thing I can imagine to staying in your great-aunt's turn-of-the-century house - if your great-aunt had wireless Internet access and air-conditioning, It's a beautiful property that has been painstakingly restored/rebuilt. The scrapbook in the lobby shows just how much effort the owners put into making a ramshackle hotel into a showplace. Our room was huge, with... More

We stopped here later in the evening unexpectedly, without reservations and not familiar with the area. We were able to get their last vacancy at what I believe was a great price, especially for a bed & breakfast. The place is older but quaint and it smelled like my Grama's house at holiday time (a good thing!) The room was... More

Before we even arrived, we were impressed with how helpful and nice everyone at The Alps was when we inquired about restaurants and things to do in the Boulder area. After we arrived, we knew for sure we had made a great selection as to where to stay. We couldn't help but be impressed by the large fireplace when we... More

Amazing place that's super cozy, excellent service and a wonderful place to recharge the batteries of life... Tubs, Fireplaces and the Welcome Mat are larger then life. Great family owned / operated home where years were spent making sure their guests were taken care of and comfortable. We love it.... Thanks for making our weekend so great and relaxing

I wish i would have found the bad reviews before i went to stay at the Alps. The bad reviews are dead accurate. The place is very run down and not well cared for. The deserts that were provided were old hard cookies and some coffee, tea or hot chocolate you can make yourself. The crisman room was disappointing to... More
