We had a family reunion at Chautauqua over Thanksgiving. We rented the lodge and several of the cottages to accommodate us all. The meeting room for a perfect place for gathering between events. The kitchen was good for light breakfasts and lunches, we chose to eat out for dinners. The rooms were all very clean and most had there own... More

We had the pleasure of staying in a 3 bedroom cabin here and couldnt have asked for a better experience. The cabin was well furnished, modern with antique furniture! Our 3 bedroom had 2 baths, full kitchen, dinning room, living room and screened in front deck. We couldnt have asked for a better location or more comfotable stay. All the... More

Four of us stayed here for four nights. The cottage was amazing, furnished with antiques, but modern, comfortable beds, full kitchen (except dishwasher), but all the utensils, etc you would need. No TV or phone, which was fine with us. A free phone for local calls (and internet) was in the reception not far from our cottage. I am from... More

Cottages are cute and perfect for a vacation away from it all. No tv,no phones. Just peace and quiet. We spent the weekend with our kids 7&8 in cottage 411. 1 bedroom with 1 sofa sleeper. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in each day. Nice screened in porch to eat dinner and look out at the amazing... More

My husband and I stayed in two separated cottages for the last two nights of our honeymoon. The cottages are so cute; they look much nicer inside than outside. Everything is modern, bright, super-clean, and green (recycling, etc.). Plus the location can't be beat; access to the Flatirons is a few steps away. The food in the dining lodge was... More

It was my second trip to Chautauqua and a first for my friend. We rented cottage number 211 - a 2 bedroom 1 bath on a dead end near the dining hall. If you want lots of modern amenities like air conditioning, television and telephone this is not the place for you. If you want a charming home to relax... More

When my husband and I travel, I always try to find places to visit and to stay that are not cookie cutter corporate chains. I just chanced upon the Boulder Chautauqua. This place, on the National Register of Historic Places, is an absolute gem. We spent three nights in the Columbine Lodge. Amazing value ... under $80 a night for... More

CONS: My experience here has been dire. From the moment I showed up to reserve a room, incompetence followed everywhere. One receptionist asks: "Can we rent individual rooms in Columbine?" The other receptionist answers: "Uh, yes. That's how Columbine works." "Oh. I didn't know that." It's absolutely fascist that they charge $15.00 to use the Wi-Fi. Paying for a "premium"... More

We stayed in a charming cottage in Chautauqua Park for three days in July. The scenery is fantastic -- meadows and mountains basically outside the front door. In the midst of a Boulder summer heat wave with daily temperatures in the high 90's, we were able to stay cool and comfortable, due to a whole-house-fan cooling system. The cottage was... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in March and had a wonderful stay. Our lodge was an Efficiency Lodge - porch front and back, large room with bed and table / chairs, bathroom and separate kitchen. We had a great stay. The lodge was clean and quiet. Well equipped and had good heating (still plenty of snow when we were... More
