Anyone interested in historic Trinity County will love staying in this lovingly restored hotel. The owner's attention to detail is incredible! Each room is filled with treasures and furniture reminiscent of the 1800s. Rooms are spotless and the quality of the linens, bath products, etc. top notch. The bed linens are exquisite...silky-soft, beautiful lace-bordered pillowcases and sheets that have each... More

Wow! Perfect ending to the perfect honeymoon!! After traveling through Yosemite, over to Monterey, up through San Fran and the Redwoods I wanted to surprise my wife on Valentine's day. Unbeknownst to her I found the Weaverville online and booked Bully Choop (Rm 3) for 14Feb12. Everything was quite literally perfect. Our room was extremely comfortable with antique furnishings. The... More

I've stayed here half a dozen times, mostly in the Trinity Lily room. An excellent, friendly, comfortable, and picturesque place, and right in the center of town, with the excellent La Grange restaurant across the street.

First class all the way! Jeanne and Brian have done a magnificent job restoring this old hotel (don't miss taking taking time to browse throught the Emporium). No touch has been overlooked in taking you back to the Gold Rush days. Service was exceptional, including the wonderful chocolate favor left each evening bedside. My friend and I spent three nights... More

On entering the hotel and registering at the Emporium and then walking into the parlour and up the creaking stairs and the onto the creaking floorboards and into room 7 confirmed my decision to stay the 4 nights of Thanksgiving at this wonderful hotel which is a blast from the past. I have seen TV shows that create OLDE WORLDE... More

This hotel is great especially because it's a time capsule. You can easily imagine you are living in the 1860s: room amenities, original soaking tub, wold radio show CDs in room to listen to at night, period furniture and decor, downstairs parlor for entertaining with old phonograph (I forget what they were called), board games, books, etc.). It was so... More

My wife and I planned two days over the Labor Day weekend and stayed three. This 1861 Hotel was renovated with great care and taste about 6 years ago.Their attention to detail in fixtures and furniture was superb. The Le Grange room was expansive and very comfortable and the mid-19th century town has survived and thrived with style. Jeanne and... More

What a perfect little hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt truly welcome. The hotel is small, comfortable and charming, and perfect just the way it is. We had the Golden Jubilee room, furthest back from the main street . The room was peaceful and small, but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was... More

What a fabuous place to stay! Can't say enough about this hotel. It was the first time I stayed at an older, historic hotel. It was incredibly charming and full of special extras (our bed turned down at night with a little tray of truffles, claw foot bath tub, wine glasses in the room, comfy robes, board games in the...
