This is really a great place to stay if your not expecting the Ritz. Good food, warm fireplace and great drinks at the Bar..The rooms are clean and neat and as expected for the price. Close to Dodge ridge and Pinecrest lake. Have a great Stay.

We picked the Strawberry Inn for its location, knowing the area does not offer many great choices. However, there is no excuse for the room being dirty. The bathroom drawers still had hair in it from previous guests; the carpets were dirty; the room was NEVER cleaned while we were there for three nights. I hate to complain about spotty... More

We were two families..a party of 9. Poor customer greeting and service. NO excuse as a "remote area" since thousands of people camp, fish, hike, rent cabins, and drive-by constantly on a state highway, BIG vacation spot next to Dodge Ridge Ski resort, CA. off hiway 108; 30 miles EAST of Sonora, CA. Food was below average. We requested two checks... More

This is a lodging review (we didn't eat in the restaurant, though I did have an acceptable Americano there upon my arrival). I shared a room with two friends for one night about two weeks ago following our 6-day backpacking trip in the Emigrant Wilderness. Our room, #7, was on the ground floor; it had screened windows on two sides... More

We stayed one night at the Strawberry Inn after our backpacking trip. It was nearby and reasonably priced at 120$ a night. The room was quite nice actually. I would actually give it 3.5 stars if I could. Also had a restaurant, which was pretty good - menu not bad, some good beers on tap. Staff was mostly foreign students... More

No Frills High Sierra Hotel. Great spot to stay clear of the masses in Stateline. The main facility is from the 1890s and it's been kept up with marginal effort and it shows. There are some newer cabins that may be less run down.

Reasonably priced for winter ski area lodging (120+tax). The recent addition of wireless internet is very helpful for today's tech savvy traveller. Simple accomodations. I get the sense that this is under new ownership since the last time we stayed here since the tv signal was in good shape among other items like the wireless. I look forward to further... More

Our room was tiny and had a sloping roof so that we had to crouch down to hang up our clothes. It was clean and OK for a 1-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend staying there more than 1 night. I was disappointed by the prime rib in the restaurant at dinner time. Almost half of the meat was fatty... More

The physical characteristics are great: location great, bar and restaurant ambiance is great, pool table great. Food was good and service was prompt and courteous. The three stars for the rooms is because there was no phone in the room and the pillows were quite flat... but otherwise clean, simple, comfortable. The best part of the stay was the owners.... More

We booked the Strawberry Inn because it was just up the street from the Cabins at Strawberry where we had had a wonderful stay a few weeks ago. First, I thought I was booking a 2-BR suite - the price was $190, only $60 less than a 3-BR Cabin at Strawberry, so the pricing seemed to make sense. I explicitly... More
