We stayed at the Squaw Valley Motel for 2 nights during a trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, something I suspect is true for most visitors to Squaw Valley. We didn’t book the motel expecting luxury or first class accommodations-we wanted something in our budget ($55 a night) that was close to the parks and the Squaw Valley... More

Old but well maintained and clean facility. Cute little pool and amazing sky view in the night. Outdoor BBQ and dining tables and homey nostalgic backyard impression. Very nice for family vacation.

Went to kings canyon this july 4. Arrived on July 2 around 9pm after a whole day outside. The motel is run by a couple. When checking in, the man said I booked next day which I pointed out wrong. Then he gave me a card which wrote another guest name having the same last name as me. Again I... More

After arriving in Sequoia and pitching our tent the heavens opened then it got cold and miserable. With just enough light we decided to pack up and head for a motel along with many others judging by the convoy we had on the way down. After about an hours driving the rain had stopped and the sky had cleared and... More

Very expensive for what it offers, very old, run down, dirty! The walls are paper thin and you hear everything that is happening in the room next door. Squaw Valley is a very small place with nothing to do. Unless you have to stay here, don't! Stay in the National Park or go to Visalia or Tulare where you have... More

Having booked this motel some time ago, certainly before the April 09 review below, we were somewhat surprised and disappointed on our arrival at the motel. It certainly didn't look like the photos on the website and we thought that we'd made a big mistake. The room was just about big enough to accommodate the bed but we would have... More

We read the reviews and decided to give it a go and stay just one night - it sounded intriguing but after arriving at the motel we could hardly wait to leave again. Decrepit and dilapidated. It wasn't dirty, just awful and we certainly didn't feel at all comfortable there and at $75,-- comparatively overpriced. We booked a room with... More

Cute little place just outside of the park. We were going to camp but got snowed out, Squaw Valley Motel was an excellent alternative for the night! Friendly and helpful owners, and their 3 adorable cats roamed about the place and sat on the front stoop. Extremely affordable for any budget. Small rooms with the most basic amenities, no coffee... This is a great place to stay just a half hour from the entrance to Kings Canyon and felt really safe and friendly. The owners were helpful and really cared about the place. The other guests were chatty and all were headed to the parks: from all over the world. My teen daughters loved sitting outside (the weather was gorgeous)... More

It was ok - the usual run-of-the-mill rural motel. It wasn't dirty and I felt they worked to keep it acceptable. The owner was nice but I found him to be a slightly opinionated and a little short on people skills. This is probably through no fault of his own. Still, it bothered me enough to write this review.
