My wife and I spent a few evenings here while exploring Saualito, Mt.Tamalpias, Muir Woods, etc. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was big and hot, which was great after long days of hiking. Great views of a park and the touristy section of Sausalito and easy access to the Ferry boats in the Bay.... More

We stayed here for three nights and were upgraded upon check-in. A nice, very clean room overlooking the park. In fact, every night, we had Happy Hour at our room table overlooking the park. Fun people watching. The bed was very comfy. We had a large walk-in shower with a stained glass window. Service was professional; all had smiles everyday.... More

This was our second stay at hotel Sausalito. The only thing disappointing was the rain, but even so the stay was great. Clean, comfortable hotel in a quaint little town that is easily accessible to San franscisco by ferry which is a very short walk from hotel. Has a nice little courtyard which would be great for having a bottle... More

Excellent view from the clean and quiet room. Service was excellent and the perks of bottles of water and apples was an added touch to the Scottish service! Great little cafe downstairs too.

If you want to stay in Sausalito and not pay a fortune this is a good place to stay. Driving in to San Francisco is not bad except for the $6.00 toll on the Golden Gate. However it is exciting crossing the bridge especially if you are a tourist like us. Basic rooms are a bit small but include all... More

The Hotel Sausalito was a great location when we visited the San francisco area and the wine country. We stayed for 4 nights. It was just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco and located in a beautiful small town. The hotel was small and the so were the rooms, but were clean and quite adequate for my wife... We stayed at the Hotel Sausalito for 3 nights in mid November. The location is undoubtedly the best thing about this hotel - Sausalito is a quiet, sleepy haven after the razzle-dazzle of San Francisco - but don't stay in Sausalito if you are after exciting night life - it is like a ghost town after dark! The room was... More

Pretty hotel in a great location - we thought it might be noisy but not so. The cheaper rooms are on the small side (we used 213 & 4), with nowhere for big luggage in the rooms, but more than fine for a couple of nights. The parking permit system works well and the breakfast voucher for the cafe downstairs... More

A bloody good job, that's what! From the moment he abused my English heritage and warned us to rattle the key in the room lock to scare the cockroaches out of the room, I knew we were on to a good thing! I will however be recommending this stay to anyone who comes to San Fran - and the rooms... More

We spent two nights (rm 203) and loved the hotel and being in this area with immediate ferry access. Reminds us of our better European stays! Billy and all his staff (relatives?) were fun and helpful. Rm 203 is the best with a unique bay window to watch the busy street below.
