This review is for the casino and buffet only.We decided to hit this casino up because we are cha-ching cha-ching floozies and never pass up a casino when we are in the area...well kinda. This casino is huge compared to the ones in Palm Springs and the drive breathtaking as we drove pass Lake Cachuma, though winding at some parts.... More

This was my first time staying at any Indian casino in California, and although it was only for one night, it was a good stay at the Chumash Casino Resort. The location was perfect for our annual trip to our wine club release day event! We have always stayed in Solvang, but the prices on the weekend for any good... More

Stayed at the Chumash a few times. The rooms are pretty clean and smoke free, all the amenities you might need. The problem is that the rooms are very overpriced ( sometimes over $300 in season on Friday or Saturday), and for that price the rooms are just not justifiable. It's not that there is a lack of cleanliness, they... More

Sadly the Chumash Casino doesn't seem to fit into the pristine Santa Ynez Valley and the peaceful vineyards. It's is trying too hard to be a flashy, Las Vegas style casino hotel and it doesn't really work here. The outside of the hotel is really ugly. It's just a huge slab of concrete dumped in the middle of the rolling... More

I can't say enough good things about this Hotel. Although my wife and I have visited the Casino numerous times over the last 5 years, we have never had the occasion to stay at the Hotel until this passed weekend. The occasion was my wife Susie's Birthday and the hotel staff made this such a memorable time I was just... More

We decided to stay at the Chumash Casino resort near Solvang for a quick "get-a-way". The whole concept was completely over rated, from the rooms, service and the casino for the price we paid for one night. Even if we had won a quarter of what we dumped into the machines there, I would still give you my honest opinion,... More

We choose this hotel for it's location near wine tasting & were very pleasantly surprised. I probably would have given it 5 had it net been for the price. Parking, we arrived about 5:30 on Saturday night and the lot was nearly full, had to go to the top of the structure but not a big deal. Check in was... More

We went on a weekend vacation from the moment we got there, we had a very weird feeling. There seem to be alot of young gangster thugish people.... A lot drugy nasty people.... And there is a very unsafe feeling..... I have been to many casinos and have never felt so disgusting. It was very overly crowded(fire hazard) and not... More

Once in Sta. Barbara and you drive north thru the Santa Inez Mountains, the views are spectacular. This casino is always busy. If your lucky you will do well on the slots. In the high limit I have lost up to $3000.00 but, I have made $12,000.00. The machines do pay. On the penny machines I have made $3500.00 or... More

We didn't stay here but came for the buffet on Christmas Day. Living in N. CA and familiar with an Indian casino's buffet in our area, we figured this would be good. We know it was a holiday - Christmas - BUT .......... the parking garage was packed. We paid full price due to the 40 or so people in... More
