The Montecito Inn provides an ideal get away in Santa Barbara. This April, we booked it for two very different visits. My husband and I came up from Pasadena for a week-end getaway. Then, I came with three other moms on a West Coast road trip to visit our freshmen in college. Both times the Montecito Inn was splendid. Classic,... More

Spent last weekend at the Montecito. We were charmed by the surrounding neighborhood and particularly the adjacent Lucky's bar and restaurant. The hotel, however, was a totally different story. While architecturally pleasing with arched hallway ceilings and rambling staircases, the rooms and hallways haven't been updated in decades. The carpeting in particular, in both the hallways and the rooms, is... More

The Montecito Inn is a wonderful boutique hotel -- everything about our stay was perfect! The rooms are beautiful (incl fireplace), a very nice continental breakfast was included, and the attention to every little detail was obvious throughout the hotel. Plus, the Charlie Chaplin memorabilia was fun (I bought a mug for a memento). But most importantly, the staff was... More

As a person on the road traveling for work most of the time, I get to see many hotels in many cities and there are moments that make it very special and staying at this hotel is one of them. I have stayed here now three times and get excited each time. The hotel is old style California with superb... More

The hotel is an antique lovingly kept, stylishly presented. I'd been told when making the reservation that there was a "very good chance" for an upgrade to a suite. I arrived so hopeful for that. My husband is recovering from a hip fracture and a nice room with a view for him was very important to me. Ten women arriving... More

Fab place, lovely staff and rooms! On hearing it was our honeymoon we were given a complimentary bottle of local wine. The Hotel restaurant was lovely, my guide book said try the coconut cake, it was right- delicious! Hire the free bikes and enjoy the ride not town, easy and beautiful! More

Our family recently stayed at the Montecito Inn for Parents Weekend at a local college. The service by the front desk staff and the valet attendants was perfect. No complaints. As for the comment of snobs - we didn't see it. I watched the valets and front desk staff treat everyone fairly - from the BMWs and Jaguars that arrived... More

The Montecito Inn is useful to know about because it is a nice, clean, stylish hotel on the charming, upscale Lower Coast road of Montecito, about 10 minutes from State Street and the beach. The hotel is well managed, clean and comfortable but is not a luxury hotel. Because it is an older hotel the rooms are smaller and the... More

Stayed a night in this hotel for business. Great character and interesting history, nice period furnishings, comfortable bed, very quiet ceiling fan that helped to circulate air in the room, and very good complimentary breakfast. Downside is no convenient plug to power up your devices (only found one free plug in the whole room, except for a plug in the... More

I tried to book two rooms for 6 people, I person heard this over the phone just hang up the phone immediately. I guess he was assuming I was saving money to jam more people into one room. I called back 3 times, they either don't answer or put me on hold. Avoid this place of pathetic snobs at all... More

Our hotel greatly values group bookings and has the accommodations to meet the needs of this reviewer. There is no reason we would have just hung up the phone and not booked his reservations. We would never disrespect any potential guests. We wish to welcome everyone to our hotel and provide them with the best service and accommodations any traveler... More
