Rooms are nicely updated with flat screen tvs and plantation shutters. Rooms include a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator and are very clean. Only the heater/AC was old and a somewhat noisy. The place was squeaky clean and the furniture and bedding was in great conditions. The only thing would be that the heater was old and very noisy, which woke me up a few times, but other than that it was a great value, and it is located about a couple of blocks from the san mateo convention center. I had to clean the toilet before I could use it myself. There was also urine and hair on the bathroom floor. The front desk brought me a duster for ME to use to clean the floor myself. AND they wouldn't comp me anything. No remote in room. More

Communication at the front was limited to handing me over the key and signing some papers. Management seems to hire people just out of school, first job, and not the least customer service knowledge.
