It's the Econo Lodge - anyplace that has Econo in the name clearly sets an expectation - it's not the 5 Seasons - but it's only $53/night, for a Sat. night! Honestly, there's nothing to complain about with this place. The location seems to be on the border - if you head south on 16th St. then the neighborhood seems... More

I found my stay at the Econo Lodge to be very enjoyable. The staff was incredible! They were extremely accommodating for the group I was traveling with. They were very helpful and caring! The room was clean, quiet, and affordable, but the staff was what made my stay exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel, and encourage anyone staying there to... More

The man running this place is a very VERY kind man. I was a lone traveler and he took it upon himself to make me feel absolutely safe and secure. He only had a few rooms left and when i checked out a couple *which were smoking* i was put off by the smell so he walked with me until... More

Stayed here night before California International Marathon. Only looking for a cheap place to stay near the shuttle buses the next morning and near restaurants for carb loading. Check-in was great, guy at front desk super-friendly, rooms were okay, about what I expected. Checked out the town after checking in came back in the evening to try and get some... More

Yes, it's a very old "genuine" motel, but is clean, well maintained, perfect location for theater/restaurants, very little street noise, perfectly adequate breakfast, free WiFi, free parking, helpful managers - and great value. When we stay in a hotel, our number one goal is to SLEEP! We have used all the 4* and 5* hotels in Sacramento, and they all... More

We booked in to the Econo Lodge as we needed somewhere cheap and basic to stay. If that's what you're expecting, you won't be disappointed. The location is not great if you want to go out downtown (although everywhere shuts by 8pm so that shouldn't be too big a problem - unless like us you're on vacation - try the... More

I got a room here to be close to 2nd Saturday Art Walk. The managers/owners were very stingy. I expected to have 2 people in my room for the night which cost $79.69 total. Because I ended up having 4 people total who stayed the night, she charged me extra, which is no problem. She charged me $108.69. I went... More

I went to Sacramento for an academic conference. When I arrived, I found two other Korean scholars going to the same conference were trying to check in. I heard that they were requesting change of names on the reservation (probably for the reimbursement reasons, I guess). Although I was helped within no seconds and I experienced a very smooth check-in,... More

The not-so-good: The hotel is older, not really deluxe or frill-bedecked. But you knew that from the name. The good: The manager was soooo nice. He gave directions to the courthouse, he suggested restaurants within walking distance, he was pleasant and accommodating, let us check out late, genuinely wished us well. The internet service was great too, the rooms were... More

After reading some of the negatively-oriented reviews, I was not expecting very much. However, I was pleasantly surprised in just about every aspect of my stay here. Facilities were clean and the carpet looked pretty new. Check-in person was very pleasant and helpful. I was on the third floor and it was quiet. One negative could be the grounds are... More
