My partner said, "Well it could have been worse, at least we didn't catch anything." I guess we should have been tipped off when they told us they no longer recognized the Vagabond Inn 10th night free loyalty program...wouldn't give us a sticker for our card. The breakfast consisted of a donut and dreadful coffee. They refused to give us... More

I read the other reviews, however; I didn't find it awful. I have stayed at worse places, but for $49 it is nothing special. I didn't eat the food. There is a Denny's in the parking lot. Everything worked, and was clean - not super clean, but suitable. I probably wouldn't stay again. I think I would spend a little... More

Don't be lured in by the low price and average looking exterior. What awaits inside is a dirty, smelly and hot room. Honestly, other than the price there is nothing good to say. Breakfast was awful coffee that we had to throw out and old looking donuts that I refused to touch.

We were on our way home from visiting the redwoods and had decided beforehand to sleep in Redding on our way home to Utah. We found the Vagabond Inn on a travel web site for a rate that we could afford and booked the reservation. We were running late in our traveling and finally pulled in at about 2am. I... More

We paid about $70 total including the pet fee because we were traveling with dogs. What's good about this hotel - rate is fairly low (but not as low as it should be); good water pressure in shower; right off of I5; sheets seemed clean even though they had cigarette burn holes in them. What's BAD about this hotel -... More

NEVER AGAIN! we checked in and were given a funky smelling room that was already rented to someone else. their clothing was in the closet. another smelly room and the tv didn't work. they gave us a third smelly room and the bathroom lite didn't work, so they gave us a fourth smelly room with slippery bathroom floors and tub.... We got into Redding at 2 AM and after going online at home, we found a great deal on the Motel 6 behind this motel. Unfortunately, there were no vacancies and I should have made the reservations ahead of time to make sure this didn't happen, but I didn't. So, I left and decided on a whim since I was... More

Room was dirty, sheets appeared dirty and faucet wouldn't work. We changed rooms, sheets were clean but the room was dirtier with disgusting dirty floors. The TV was fuzzy so we turned the cable around and were able to see shows just a bit clearer, but they were still fuzzy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!

The premises was dodgy and soon was swarming w/police cars and questionable characters. One look at our nasty, musty, in disrepair room we knew we had to get out. After advice from a nearby restaurant employee, we unbooked our room and drove away. We also overheard a truck driver say in all his travelling years, he has never stayed in... More

I travel to Oregon twice a year from San Jose and this has been my discount nightly stop on the way there or back or both since 2005. I always used to get a decent room for the $$, of course back then it was an even $50.00 for the night but like I said, the rooms were decent and... More
