We stayed here on our way to Yosemite based on price, convenience and the reviews I had read. We were pleasantly surprised to see how clean everything was and how well the bathroom and room had been updated. The hotel is very convenient for on/off excess to I-5. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The towels were thicker than most... More

My husband and I met my sister and brother-in-law, who had come down from Vashon Island, WA to see the eclipse. We stayed at the Thunderbird because it seemed like a good value. It was. The room was nice and they served a small breakfast in the morning. There was a pool, but we didn't have time to use it.... More

I needed to spend a night in Redding as part of a road trip and decided to try the Thunderbird based on the reviews here. I was just looking for an inexpensive place to stay the night. Was very impressed with the Thunderbird. Comfortable, clean rooms, great shower and bath room. Even a microwave and refrigerator (which helps, Redding is... More

we were on our way to north bend WA. We knew we would have to stop somewhere around redding for the night. We had our dogs with us. And we were pulling a trailer. I got on my phone and pulled up my trip advisory app. This place was 75 for the night which included a10$ pet fee. They gave... More

We stayed here on both legs of a trip from Beaverton, OR to Morro Bay, CA. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. One room had a slightly funky smell which was ease to erase by turning the A/C to fan only. The breakfast was decent (except for the coffee) for the price and when combined with the free WiFi... Thank you for your valued review. We are glad to hear that you had a pleasant stay. Our goal is to give our customers the biggest bang for their buck. The slight "funky" smell in the room may be due to the use of the microwave to heat up some food. When our guest rooms are cleaned, in addition to... More

We booked our overnight stay here on the way back from So Cal with Expedia. It was a few miles off of I-5, but we thought that should be okay. We were told that it included breakfast, which was also an incentive. We were quoted a price of $80.00 with tax. I must say that we pulled in and were... More

For a low price (less than $50) we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well maintained this motel was. The help at the desk was pleasant and professional. Not far from the freeway, but far enough that we didn't hear traffic all night long. Within walking distance of restaurants and a bakery. The continental breakfast was sparse, but for... More

I was passing through Redding needing a hotel room for the evening and thought a downtown location would fit the bill. As i drove onto the property I liked what i saw. The management was helpful and friendly. As i entered my room unfortunately my experience lessened. I had a smoking room and the room reaked of stale smoke. I... More

Me and my husband had to stop at Redding on our way to Portland. We booked this place 2hours before we arrived. All we need is a room and a bed to rest. So we chose something cheap and clean. When we walk in the room, we knew that we made the right decision. Both of us was surprised for... More

We spent the night at the Thunderbird Lodge and appreciated its downtown location. The winter price was unbeatable. Our room was clean and quiet. We also appreciated having the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Good single cup coffee makers! Easy to get to a variety of restaurants on foot. Continental breakfast was minimal, but understandable given the room price.
