Barry runs a very tight ship. I had left behind a fairly expensive bluetooth headset that my wife had given me for Christmas. When I called later that morning, Barry had it in his possession and offered to mail it to me. It came yesterday. Thank you so much for sparing me an embarrassing explanation. Not only is this a... I stayed there one nite last week after moving OUT of a very annoying chain motel a little west. THIS place, Sportsman, is a great value, with management that is fantastic. Barry and his wife are very proud of this place, and it shows. Absolutely spotless. Barry told me of a laundromat very close by next to a good Mexican... More

I have dogs and so was looking for a hotel that would accept them. The Sportsman's lodge will accept animals . when the weekend came to go to Red Bluff, I ended up leaving my animals at home and I was concerned that the hotel would not be as clean as I would like. I usually stay at fairly nice... More

During transit from Vancouver to Scottsdale, I needed a place to overnight. The Sportsman Lodge, while dated in decor, had large, very neat rooms, and the WiFI internet was included. The manager was very helpful suggesting places for dinner. All in all, a great value for the price.

My husband and I travel through Red Bluff about every 3-4 months to visit family in the Portland, Oregon area and this is our usual stop. Last spring we accidentally left a large pillow in the room. The owners saved it for us and returned it to us on our next visit. It is quiet and has plenty of parking-space... More

Feels like Home away from Home. Barry, the owner, and his wife are terrific hosts. They treat you like friends, not just guests. The property is peaceful, affordable and the owners are very accomodating. We stay for weeks at a time and there is no where else in Red Bluff we would rather stay.

The Price was right $40.00 and the room was huge, felt very safe and the Front Desk was very helpful. The rooms are dated and feel that way. A few updates would make it so much better ie flat screen tv, and new towels would be very nice. The internet worked very well. All in all a good cheap place... More

I was traveling solo back up I5 to my home in Bend, OR. I stopped at a rest stop and checked Trip Advisor for a place to stay in Red Bluff. Sportsman Lodge had quite good ratings so I stopped there. The host was very accomodating and as a solo female traveller, very considerate as to suggesting a quiet room... More

I travel I-5 a lot. When in Red Bluff, I usually stay along the business route through town. This time, I drove in from Chico and noticed Sportsman Lodge from a coupon in one of the giveaway books you get at rest areas. What a pleasant surprise. Nicely maintained rooms, quiet, good quality linens and bedding, and very friendly management.... More

We stayed at two very run-down motels in Redding before discovering Sportsman Lodge. We looked at almost every motel in Red Bluff. THIS IS THE BEST! The rooms are large, light, comfortable, clean and quiet. And the price is very reasonable! If you're staying in the Redding/Red Bluff area, and you want quality for less, this is IT! We will...
