If you want to see an amazing town from the 1800's go to Randsburg. It's so well preserved we couldn't believe it. The Cottage Hotel is a warm, comfortable place to stay. Scrappy makes you feel so welcomed that she has your name on the door of your room. Randsburg is to dirt bikes and quad runners , what Sturgis is... More

My husband and I have stayed here before in one of the fabulously renovated old cabins. On this last visit we spent four days and three nights in the Quilt Room of the hotel. The room was super clean, inviting and comfortable. The service provided by Scrappy, Goat and Ellie was 5-star and the entire time we were made to... More

When we arrived to check in, Scrappy showed us through the B&B facility, which looked quite clean and comfortable. Scrappy is wonderful; friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Our family of four spent one night at Hill Street Cabin a few blocks from the main B&B. The cottage appeared very rustic on the outside, and we were pleasantly surprised to... More

Driving late one night between Hwy 395 and Ridgecrest in the Mojave Desert we stumbled upon this gem. I decided to drop by Randsburg - an old mining town that still lives - just to check it out as my Grandmother and Great aunt did some growing up there over 100 years ago. I see that there is a "Motel"... More

Completely in the style of this old living museum of a village, the Cottage Hotel is something special. Entering the lobby takes you 100 years back in time. Called the staff because there was a small mix-up, but they handled it perfectly. We stayed in the Hill St. Cabin, which was a nicely improvized piece of metal and wood moulded... More

You don't have to be Prospector Pete or Dirt Bike Bill to love The Cottage in Randsburg, although those aren't drawbacks either. Set in a truly historic mining camp - about $5 BILLION in gold (todays prices) taken out since the 1890s - and massive "off road vehicle" areas, The Cotage makes Randsburg is a totally fun place to visit... I spent 1 night at the Cottage Hotel in late April with my wife and son on our way up to Kennedy Meadows. We stayed in the Hill Street cabin, one of a couple of old mining cabins near the hotel that the owners have renovated. They did a great job in the renovation - old materials were reused where... We spend time with super clean and super nice. Friendly folks, and a charming town. If you want luxury accommodations, well, go to the Bellagio in Las Vegas.... The hotel was completely deserted but a note on the reception desk said to phone and 10 minutes later Scrappy arrived. The rooms are very comfortable and staff service is very friendly... More

We loved our stay at the hotel that we are have already booked a room for Western Days in September. The hospitality was overwhelming. The quaintness fun, rooms clean and fresh. Meals both breakfast and dinner were great. Thank you to Goat, Scrappy, and Skater for making my husband and I feel like family.

We booked our stay over the internet in Mya as a one night stop on our way from Sequoia to Vegas. On arrival in Randsburg and seeing the population was less than 50 we were a bit worried. The hotel was completely deserted but a note on the reception desk said to phone and 10 minutes later Scrappy arrived and... More
