The hostel is super clean. The room is nice and the kitchen is great for cooking and hanging out. It smelled funny though, not sure what this smell was. However, I thought it was a little overpriced to charge $82 for a private room. The location is great, it's close to the shore and lots of hiking trails.

I was a little bit afraid of this experience, but I was very happy with the place and the service. The part is the best is how clean the place is!. It is a great place for hiking and have few hikes begining at the hostel

Although this has the usual hostel set-up (communal dining and living areas etc), this was far removed from most hostels I've stayed at. We stayed in the newly built accommodation separate from the main building and as such, shared the facilities with only a few other people. Point Reyes Hostel is a great location for hiking in the Point Reyes Seashore. The hostel beds are very comfortable with bedding provided and ample blankets. The 10PM Quiet Time is honored.
