Loved the stay, relaxing! Not sure if it's always this nice and quiet or if we got lucky and went on a weekend when no one else was staying there cause it's not prime palm springs season. Had the place to ourselves (a bit creepy, but nice). The hotel grounds are nicely kept up, views are gorgeous, managers are very... More

This is quiet and nice place to spend relaxing days by the pool. We were greeted by friendly people, offered complementary bicycles to explore neighborhood, given recommendations for the best dining around. The rooms and baths are clean and cozy.

we came to PS due to our interest in 50s architecture and design, and loved it. This motel was a great place to stay. I recommend it to anyone who likes MCM. a few blocks from the main street but in a quiet area. original 50s has been sensitively updated. spotlessly clean. small rooms and close to the pool, but... Enjoyed our stay at the Desert Hills Resort this past March, it is a very well run and maintained resort that deserves its good reviews over the years. The area is wonderful and its access to Spencer's restaurant one block away is a plus. The only suggestions would be that: some of the furnishings require an update in terms of... More

The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived in the area two hours early, so we called ahead to see if we could check in early. Jim (the manager) made sure our room was ready when we arrived. Overall, the room was clean with a full kitchen. The pool was steps from the room, and the sliding door... More

Recently spent three nights at the Desert Hills Hotel and found that its very positive TripAdvisor reviews are accurate. Clean, comfortable and quiet room with immediate access to pool and patio area. Short (3-4 block) walk to the Thursday night Village Fest and the many restaurants in the downtown area. The kitchenette was well equipped with fridge, stove, and microwave.

Every time we've stayed here it's been so nice. Lot's of lounge chairs by the pool, nice people, calm setting close to town. The rooms have full kitchens and nice bedding, very large. Two small beefs- not really any sort of breakfast, just coffee, juice, Costco yogurts and packaged pastries . Also be forewarned the gardeners arrive at 7 on... More

I've stayed at the Desert Hills many times and I've always been pleased. You should know that it's not really a family hotel - I'm not sure they allow kids - and most of the guests are couples or singles in their 40's through 60's. This is the kind of place people return to year after year - because of... More

This little hotel is just lovely for a restful but fun holiday! Each room faces onto the pool but has a perfect little kitchen at the back of the unit. There is music from the 50s being played during the day, around the pool and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even though this place is peaceful and set... More
