Centrally located, while far enough away from the noise of the village and snow cats. We usually stay at the lodge, but were drawn by discounted rates and fuller service of an Inn. Ski check was so convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again! More

Let me prepend that I’ve been to many skiing places where I stayed at good and very good hotels so I know what I’m talking about. The conclusion of my experience with Plump Jack is that this is the worst place I’ve ever been to in a skiing area. The room is spacey, that’s o.k.. The furniture is mostly very... More

Dear Sir, We strive to provide a relaxing, inviting, engaging atmosphere for our guests. Our staff loves the mountain community we live and work in and share our enthusiasm with guests day in and day out. If this failed to translate during your stay, I apologize. Noise can be a factor at our hotel. The building was constructed in the... More

PlumpJack for me is all about the staff, the location and great food. They have done a fantastic job at remodeling the property. While the property has some sound issues because of when the building was originally built they have retrofitted every detail and made it feel like an inn. There are a couple of design issues but you really... More

We had a lovely time staying here in Feb 2012, the access to Skiing at Squaw is really great. The food and bar were nice to have so close by. The room was comfortable and quite large. The hot tub was not as hot as I prefer it to be. Also the Inn Shop where we rented skis did not... More

This is a 3 star hotel at best with a nice restaurant. The service is essentially non-existent, typical of all of Squaw village establishments. I found the room amenities nice, but the bed is hard, the walls thin and the proximity to the service area for the ski resort annoying since you get to hear the heavy equipment with the... More

I recently stayed at Plumpjack over Presidents and had a phenomenal stay. I don't think the food can be matched anywhere in Tahoe but having the option to have such great dining on the slopes was a major bonus. If you haven't tried their breakfast its amazing, homemade granola, fantastic coffee and breakfast potatoes which are a personal favorite (perhaps... More

Overall, this is a good hotel. The amenities are nice but not super luxury or crappy just nice. The location is prime. It was my first time skiing so the location to ski rental and the lifts was amazing. Breakfast was included in our stay and was really nice. Plenty of hot food prepared very well. SO why does the... we went skiing for the first time in Tahoe at Squaw valley, and stayed at the Plumpjack for the location close to the lifts. we ended up staying at the hotel a lot, as no other restaurant in the area could measure up. great food, great options, and so close to the hill. the only drawbacks were really just that... The title of the review sums it all up. If you'd like being right in the center of Squaw village, and would like to roll down to the lobby to the best dining in Squaw...this is the place. A short walk, < 50 yards to the high camp cable car and < 100 yards to the lower level chair lifts.... More

Those of us from the SF Bay Area think of Plumpjack as a chic luxury brand, from their restaurants to their wines, so our first stay at their lodge in Tahoe was a let down. Usually we stay at the Village at Squaw Valley when we're at Squaw, but this time we decided to try a night at Plumpjack as... More
