Alpine meadows is being converted to a Terrain Park. Intermediate runs are cut off. Skiers are funneled into dangerous convergences. Despite the fact that almost no one uses these parks they are continuing to block off the mountain with them. They are inspired by a Skateboard mentality. The average intermediate and even expert skier has no use for them. In... More

Alpine is awesome on a powder day. Be sure to hike beaver bowl. It never disappoints. There are so many stashes that are not on any trail map. You should chat up a local or a liftie to get to the good powder stashes and the awesome trees. The vertical is 1802 and the natural features make you really feel... More

We stayed in Squaw Valley and had season passes that allowed us to ski at Alpine as well. We can't say how impressed we were with everything. This is not a place to come to if you want the big resort experience (that's what Squaw, Heavenly etc. is for). If you want longs runs without the crowds, unpretentious people, fast... More

We spent two days here with our season pass at Squaw. Alpine is a good sized mountain with great lakeviews (at their summit lift). It is a pretty good mountain for skiiers. But the terrain is not that good for snowboarders. Three of their lifts are located on a steep uphill, so if you ended up at the wrong spot,... More

Let me start by saying that I am still blown away at how expensive it is to go skiing for a day/weekend. I am just amazed whenever I see families of 4-5 skiing for multiple days. With that said, I still love getting up to Tahoe to ski a handful of times. I usually always end up at Alpine Meadows.... More

I have been skiing for 30years, and I love to ski in Tahoe. I have been to most resorts, and I will say that I love Squaw. However, my kids did not like their ski school at all. After 2 years of trying to teach 4-5 year olds, they were still on the magic carpet and Squaw never took them... More

Due to the poor customer service I will never return or tell friends about Alpine Meadows. If you need to speak with someone about just getting information, they make you understand that it is a waste of there time to help you.

Alpine Meadows is hidden on the mountain next to Squaw Valley. The mountain resort is family and environmentally focuses. They have a fantastic kids programs starting out for 3 year olds. Leave the funnatel and gondolas to Squaw and experience a huge mountain with runs for all experience levels. The "out of bounds" availability to hike or traverse is something... More

Where shall I begin? Ah yes the condtions of the slopes... Only resort in Tahoe that had no warnings of exposed rocks, dirt, etc. This year with mammoth snow amounts you would think that they would be able to take care of that, nope. On to their customer service- Easily the worst business experience of my life. I have never... More
