We drove to Point Reyes National Seashore without any reservations for a two night stay. We came across the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge and liked its location and proximity to a bar/restaurant and a deli owned by the same company. Lynn on Reception showed us 3 rooms and without being pressed offered us a significant reduction on the price for... More

A short hour from the Golden Gate Bridge adjoining the Point Reyes National Seashore Park. A beautiful setting with backyard area excellent for reading, relaxing and watching the sun set. A very nice restaurant is adjacent along with a Deli. If you want morning coffee, you may have an issue. The lobby does not open until 8:00 AM and there... More

We did not have reservations and stopped because it looked cool. There was lots of rain that weekend, Point Reyes was flooded and they had several cancellations. We got a reduced rate for a wonderful room and almost had the place to ourselves. Room was very nice and there was an incredible breakfast the next morning. We ate dinner at... More

This hotel could be so much better than it is if they invested some money in bringing it up to date. Our room had no TV, no writing table, no comfortable chair to read. The decor looks to be out of the 60s. The grounds are lovely and a plus. More

The good: Everybody we met -- staff and guests -- were super friendly. If you don't want to talk with anyone else, you might view this negatively. They were really talkative. We got a package that upgraded us to a bigger room and a glass of wine at the restaurant next door. From our room, we had a nice view... More

We had the good fortune to stay at the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge over a gorgeous sunny February weekend. Jeff was very helpful when checking us in and showed us where there was available parking and gave a quick tour of the lodge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I slept like a baby. After the continental... More

We were traveling with another couple and made a last minute decision got stay at the lodge. Thanks to the wonderful greeting by Lynn, the hostess at the desk, we were made to feel welcome right away. It was a perfect place to stay while sight seeing in this part of California. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable.... More

Hi, Thank you so much for your great comment about your enjoyment of the cottage. We are happy that you had an opportunity to meet our great front desk person, Denise. She really enjoys what she does and tries hard to make all the guests here happy. Hope to see you again! More

I have read some of the reviews for this hotel and it seems that, if you are looking for the style and amenities of a Sheraton-like hotel chain, this is not going to be your place. Myself, I enjoy the personal warmth and care of independent hotels like this one. The people who work there are warm and serviceful. They... More

Hi Jenny, Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. We are glad that you and your brother enjoyed your visit to the Lodge and Point Reyes. We were pleased to have you here as well. Jeff at the front desk commented to me how much he enjoyed interacting with you. I appreciate the fact... More

If you are looking for luxury or elegance, this is not the place! Our fireplace room with a little balcony and jetted tub was small. The carpet needed a good cleaning and the bedding was tired looking. No room for a desk or dresser. A couple chairs, 2 worn bedside tables, an armoire and the bed were as much as... More

Dear J, Our front desk night staff remembers you very well and enjoyed chatting with you about the area. However, please feel free whenever you are in any hotel to speak with the hotel staff if you find something lacking that you need to enjoy your stay. We would rather fix it for you immediately than learn that you didn't... More
