Alliance Redwoods is a Conference Grounds/ Summer camp that has a few cabins to rent. My wife and I stayed in one of the cottages for a couple nights in late November. That was a good time to be there, since there were no youth camps going on. The cottages are across a small creek from the main camp area, so you have some privacy from the big groups.
I've been there previously when there are groups of up to 400 teenagers making a lot of noise. That is usually in the summer.
If you're looking for a quiet retreat, I would only suggest going to Alliance Redwoods cottages in the late fall or early spring. If the noise isn't an issue, and you want to stay at a good price under the redwoods, then I'd recommend it all year.
