We had not stayed at a Best Western in years, so we were a little hesitant to make a reservation outside of our familiar Marriott - Hyatt - Hilton world in a somewhat remote area of Northern California for a 3 night stay. Boy, did this facility put us at ease immediately! We had some car issues on the way... More

I am not a Best Western fan and only stay at their hotels when I have little to no other choices. However, this BW stands out and we will definitely stay here again. RESERVATIONS: Made on-line. Felt a little pricey at $199 a room, including tax and AAA discount. ARRIVAL: When we arrived, there was LOUD remodeling going on at... More

So I have to confess that Mt Shasta is one of my favorite places on earth. This could color my evaluation, but I found the Tree House (where I have stayed a few times previously, about 10 years ago) still very pleasant and comfortable There was major renovation underway but it didn't affect my stay at all. Don't fail to... More

Arrived here late and reservationless one night in May 2013 while passing through on I-5 on a business trip. They were sold out of regular rooms, but the suite we (2) were given was huge, well-appointed and tastefully and charmingly decorated in a rustic mountain-cabin style with a great semi-panoramic view of the mountain. The room was immaculately clean and... More

First time stay for us at this hotel. Good location when traveling on I-5. At the time we stayed there construction was going on at the hotel but did not interfere with our stay. Rooms are good and clean and staff is friendly and helpful when needed. One of the nice features with this hotel is that a restaurant is... More

Stayed there over the last couple of nights. The primary plus, of course, is the great area this hotel resides in at the base of Mount Shasta. It is right off the I-5, and is easy to find. Rooms are comfortable and I had a couple of good nights of rest. The room is as expected for a Best Western... More

It's about half way from where we live in the SF Bay area to Portland. The view from the room facing Mt. Shasta is really beautiful. The hotel carpet was being renovated while we were there. Their breakfasts are really good with many choices for both hot and cold foods. The staff is friendly.

My husband, our two dogs, and I had the most pleasant and accommodating stay at this hotel. The room was clean and nice, the dog area is the best we have experienced at a pet friendly hotel, and the hotel grounds landscaping was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely plan to stay there again.

Although Mt. Shasta really is a destination spot in its own right, we stayed the night because it is almost exactly halfway between Portland and San Jose, a nice break in the drive. The motel is very conveniently located about 1/4 mile off of the I-5 exit, easy in, easy out. Our room was a bit on the small size... More

This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel since 2002; it's been nicely renovated and upgraded since my last stay in 2007. There were 6 of us traveling together this time; we stayed 2 nights. The hotel has a charming wood theme throughout - sort of rather cool 1970's style wood paneling, elaborately carved wood lobby furniture, and... More
