The service was ok, except the office smells like a smoking area. The room was smells like a smoking area too. Towels were old and torn. The bed skirt and comporters are ripped and was filled with old and yucky smells. My Family and I didn't sleep that good. The shower cutain had meldow on the bottom area and the... More

I stayed at this hotel in March 2011. The price was fourty-five dollars a night and got a good room for that price. The host and hostess were friendly as well and they were knowledgeable about the area. During the night there was a customer who was not happy about anything and kept slamming his door, waking other customers up... More

My 27 yr. old son & I had come to Monterey to visit my youngest son who is stationed at the Language Institute in Monterey. I was very pleased with my room #15 upstairs. We did not notice much noise, (even though hotel was full most of the 9 days we were there), the room was very clean & beds... More

The room was clean, a little outdated on decor, but the room had a fireplace!. breakfast was muffinfs w/ Orange juice. the bed was a little hard, but clean. We were very surprised because we got the room for $40 with hotwire, very cheap! they also offer free wifi.

The room was rundown and dingy. Tiles were taped down with duct tape. Bedding was torn and freyed. We could find no way to heat the room (with a toddler and an infant!). Asked the front desk. All they said was it was on the wall. There was nothing on the wall. Looked undown from the outside. Towels were used... More

This is a dirty, loud hotel. I could hear the person in the next room breathe. When someone flushed teh hotel the room vibrated. The beds are as hard as wood, as are the pillows. There was dirt everywhere. Horrible experience. I have been coming to Monterey since 1989 and this is the worst hotel I have ever encountered.

The fifteenth hotel of our 4 week trip in Southwest USA. We spent one night here at Del Monte Pines and at a rate of US$65 including tax and continental breakfast, it was good value for Monterey. Priced right, good room with décor from an era long ago, but clean, tidy and with 2 tone pink walls, burgundy bedspreads and... More

Several years ago, this hotel was both clean and reasonably priced. Now, it is both disgusting and cheap. Upon checking in (which was quick), we were excited to see our hot tub/fireplace room. It looked nice at first, flipped the fireplace on and started searching for the heat (Monty was unusually chilly that day). We found the heater, a 1... More

We traveled with our teen daughter & friend so got 2 rooms (the price for 2 rooms was less than some other, not so clean hotels, cost for 1 room). We stayed for 3 nights and would go back again. Though there are issues with the decor, the beds were comfortable & the rooms spotless. It is right across from... More

We stayed in Monterey for 1 night during a road trip from San Francisco to San Diego. It was the first time we had stayed in a motel and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a friendly reception and a very comfortable and well-sized room. Although the decor was not particularly to our taste, the bed was very comfortable... More
