Tripadvisor watch out! Those recent reviews cannot be true,we stayed there on April 5th for exactly 15 min. Door wide open when entering the room,bed seemed to be used,weird people around their grounds,the "updated" Superior room a joke,windows incredible dirty,the owner showed very rude behaviour when asking for another room,a true Hotel nightmare!! Been on the road 5 days. Nicest place we've stayed so far. Nice rooms and friendly service. The proprietor obviously takes pride in the establishment and isn't afraid to spend some money to keep it up. That being said, it is one of the most affordable places in Monterey.

“Had a great stay!”

The room was great, it was clean and very spacious. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, at both check in and check out. They were quick to recommend restaurants in the area. I will definitely remember the Red Roof Inn the next time I need a hotel in the Monterey area!

“In the drive through”

Nice and clean room. Very comfortable bed. The room looks like it has been renovated lately, new furniture and stone floor in the bath. The only thing I didn't like were the thin walls... We could hear our neighbors chatting.

“Good, fresh and very priceworthy”

Arrived late, had an easy check-in by the nice owner. Got a fresh large room with TV, free WiFi, breakfast, microwaveoven, fridge...in short words, very priceworthy! The WiFi did not work so good in the evening, but in the morning it was ok again for some reason. We would stay here again and can recommend it.
