We stayed here for 2 nights - Sunday and Monday. We paid $38 a night on Priceline for a king bed with an outdoor patio - that's including tax. I was very happy with the low rate (keep in mind weekends will likely be higher), and I was equally pleased with the spacious and clean room. The bed and especially... More

I stayed one night at this hotel in April 2012. When I arrived, I realized there was a mistake in my reservation. The receptionist was kind enough to laugh about it and gave me a room anyway. The room was clean, and its price is pretty unbeatable in Monterey!

After having terrible customer service from two previous hotels on the street, when I pulled into this hotel the man behind the desk had such great customer service. I asked to see the room and he had no problem showing me one. The room was very clean and maintained. My kids loved the heated swimming pool and hot tub. I... More

Being honest - I didn't expect much as I drove up - older building with outdated small windows - but when we walked in - it was a very clean and spacious room - bathroom was recently upgraded - carpet was clean - and we spent a comfortable night there as a resting spot in between our visits to Big... Lowest cost hotel on Priceline for an overnight stay to play golf. Comfortable and relatively clean for the price and included breakfast. Helpful staff.

In October of 2011, my family and I took a two-day trip to Monterey. We booked for four and asked for a roll-away. Besides paying for the roll-away, no additional fees were added to our room charge. The roll-away was delivered promptly, and later when we needed more towels and toilet paper, we were immediately serviced. The hotel is in... More

Room was terrible, damp . Looked like it was not in use very often. Needed major decorating job. Saw another room as we checked out and it was a superior room to our one. Wil not be back.

After reading a number of negative past reviews, I had some doubts about trying out this place. However, though this place was probably built in the 50s, the rooms and particularly bathroom were refurbished in 2010. Nice granite countertop, tile floors and new fixtures in the bath room. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and pillows decent - not the typical rocks... More

I am relocating from Los Angeles, and on arriving , was fortunate to choose this hotel by chance. The manager was most pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and had some appealing touches in its overall appearance. I especially liked the bathroom with its very large counter and coffee pot station. They even had an iron and board in... We had looked at several places to stay in the Monterey area through America's Best Value Inns and the President's Inn was near where we wanted to be and was the most reasonable. With the ABVI card it was only $167 total for 3 nights. Not having stayed there before and reading some of the reviews, we were interested to... More
