we've stopped by several times - a light dinner before live music, hanging out and watching the Giants game, a nice dinner with friends, etc ..... and we've never been disappointed. I think the food prices are pretty fair for the quality - we ate early one night to make sure we got the prime rib (<20 !) after some... More

The Hotel Leger is an historic hotel that has certainly seen better days. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy staying there because I did. While I rate it "average" I'm taking into account the good, the bad and the ugly and also the fact that one is staying in an authentic bit of history that, yes, needs work but... More

Just wanted to thank Daryl and Tracy Zellers, the current owners of the Leger Hotel for a pleasant and interesting night of fun. My hobbies are photography and Paranormal investigating and this place satisfied both to the extreme. The entire staff was friendly and responsive. Dinner was a delicious steak and potato delight. For the price I paid this will... More

This place is living history and the floors creek louder than a herd of cattle. Every decade has left it's mark with patch repair job after patch repair job. The whole place needs a retrofit bad, the service is casual if not surly, the food is okay and the town's short on services. Somehow the character of the place makes... More

My husband and I stopped off in Mokelumne Hill, posting up for a beer at Hotel Leger. The new owner, who purchased the hotel just four months ago, is trying to keep history alive. While the hotel bar only offers eats and drinks you would get at a baseball game during the noon hour, the new owners are really trying... More

The Hotel Leger is one of a number of historic hotels that skirt State Highway 49 in California's sierra foothills, commonly referred to as the "Gold Country". I have stayed here on several occasions and, although the staff has been different each time, it's always been a delightful experience. Although the hotel is highly touted for its ghosts, I can’t... We stayed here for one night in the suite. The suite was quite large and nicely and authentic furnished. We feld ourselves a 100 years back in time. The garden with swimming pool was very nice and you could stay there for hours, nice trees and quiet People were very friendly, We could get a tastful meal in the restaurant... More

First of all, please keep this in mind: you are staying at a "historical sight with detail for the Old West kept in mind". Having the ability to stay in a hotel with this much historical significance was an experience my son and daughter will not soon forget. I purposely chose the midweek to attend the hotel in hopes we... More

This hotel is filty, smelly and scary. I don't recommend anyone to stay here. We checked the rooms and they have old furniture, but the whole building needs remodeling. Also, the price for the rooms were too expensive compared to whate they offer. Definetely.. this is not a place to stay or to bring your family. We found a better... More

I was there on a Wednesday in the off season, so except for another couple who had stumbled in it last minute, I would have been the only guest that night. I chose Room 3 which is one of the bigger rooms off the upper balcony but has a shared bath across the hall. I already knew that I wouldn't... More
