The Bug Hostel is a very pleasant surprise, you would not expect to find a restaurant of this caliber in the middle of the woods at a Hostel. The food her is exceptional, they use organic and natural as much as possible. They have a garden where they farm some of their own vegetables. I am a regular and so... More

I rented a tent cabin for a weekend. All tent campers share a common unisex restroom/shower facility with only 3 toilets. Restrooms were dirty, and toilets were backed up & didn't flush. It was a 5-min walk up a steep path to get to restroom. Two busloads of high school kids were also staying at Yosemite Bug, & we all... More

Stay part of a Trek America group in the hostel dorms - they were well equipped for our needs and I had a great nights sleep each night. The dining hall for both breakfast and evening meal - family style home cooked food all tasty and delicious with menu changing daily. There is a spa and steam room but I... More

We chose the Bug since it was a less expensive lodging option near Yosemite NP, and the reviews here at TA were mostly good. We stayed here for two nights and my family had a wonderful time. Its location inside a grove of trees in a mountain and away from the highway was perfect. First off, like another TA poster... More

We loved this place, it was just perfect, set amongst the trees on a mountain side on the road to Yosemite National Park. The room was clean and tidy and importantly nice and warm. Free wifi was a bonus. The restaurant served the most amazing meals that were very generous and tasty. Would also be perfect for a family trip.

We stayed in the Studio Barn on the Bug complex, which is a slightly seperate accommodation up the road to the main cabins and tents. There was an adjoining path to the main complex, but I wouldn't recommend using this later in the day/dark (windy path, you cross a stream, no lights!); However there is easy access to the barn... We had a great stay here for three nights while we hiked our way around Yosemite National Park. It is great value (we paid $60 for a room for 4) although be prepared for a trip outside to the restrooms - a little chilly in winter! The real highlight of this place is the cafe - the food there is... More

I go to the Bug whenever I can to use the spa a,enjoy the pub like atmosphere of the cafe and listen to the eclectic mix of music that usually available but had never stayed ( I live 10 minutes away @ Yosemite Ziplines and Adventure Ranch !).But it was my daughters 5th birthday and she really wanted to go... Having stayed in Yosemite Valley (Curry Village) the night before and visiting Mariposa Grove in the morning / afternoon, we decided to stay a night here before heading off to San Francisco the next day. I'm not sure if it was our GPS navigation or the address of the resort, but it was pretty hard to find Yosemite Bug; according... More

We were on a short weekend escape to Yosemite valley. This was the cheapest accommodation that we found. 56$ for a room with 4 bunk beds, and shared bathrooms. Since we just needed a place to stay for the night and left early morning without a bath, this worked out great. The room was clean, small , well heated. You... More
